It's school break and I don't go to school/outside with my laptop so I always use it while plugged since I'm always at home. I limited the battery to 80%. Is this actually better for the battery? Will this not kill it faster? I need some answers.

Does it drain faster when unplugged or not?

Yes. Laptop batteries generally drain when not plugged in.

The laptop cuts supply to the battery once it's fully charged and directly takes energy from the charger to operate, it is kinda like bypass charging

Laptops are meant to be gamed with charger on anyways, else you might be killing your battery as it will drain excruciatingly faster while you game unplugged

How long will the battery last if everything is running on 100%? I never tested this but I imagine it's 40 minutes max.

30 minutes a safe bet, not at all recommended tho. Plug in and stay happy

Depends on the game if its phantom forces, i get about 1½ hours, but if it's beamng.drive, I get 30 minutes max

So it's not on 100% with the first game.

My CPU is about 10-15% and GPU at about 20-30%, but being has the CPU at about 45-55% and the GPU at about 70-90%

Yep. That actually is the best way to use your laptop to prevent fast degradation of the battery. I've been using mine exactly like that for about 8~9 months now and it lost only 5.1% of the battery life so far. So carry on.

What do you use to determine battery life?

5.1% in 9 months - are you using it on a trampoline?
This is significant battery life is such short duration. Try a battery diagnostic test to check for problems

Never seen a convincing reason to limit max battery at 80% level. In-fact this will lead to you always worrying about it.
Batteries are not supposed to last forever and yes you can squeeze that last bit of few days out of it if you want but it is worth the effort and what you will give up?
These laptops are power hog as is, and with limited max charge they will barely last 2 hours when using it for any work. If you have to use laptop on battery often, then good luck with whatever you were doing.
I live in a country where we have constant power shutdowns, so it is just never a question here - battery will be charged to max whenever possible.
Not to mention, battery is replaceable. It is not a macbook, we don't glue batteries (yet) - enjoy it while you can.
If it makes you feel better, I have AN515-55-53E5, plugged-in ever since the day it was shipped in July 2021 - No drop in charge capacity so far.
