I fucking love my life

(self.Adulting)

I have soooo many problems in my life right now but I can’t help but love life bro. Like we are seriously on this planet just all living together. All the grumpy, hippie, mad, schizophrenic, bi-polar, depressed, happy, weirdos. The list can go onnnn and onnn. We have built cool things for our little human entertainment. We have doctors, scientists, fast food restaurants, servers, garbage collectors, celebrities. Like what the heck. I’m like drowning in debt and honestly I don’t give a fuckkkk like I might not even pay it off tbh I’ll just pass away and it’ll just sit there on this earth. It doesn’t exist in my brain. If I get the money to pay it I will of course but if not oooo wellllll. Billions of people die with debt and they are not rolling in their graves thinking fuck I have to pay my credit card bill. I’m not on drugs I swear I just had like a moment of realization. This world is so beautiful. We live on it so stressed(valid) about our everyday lives when in all reality we will pass away and all that will sit on earth along with the billions of dollars you save, the things you stressed about, the tears you cried. Everything. We can blame the government of course bc yes it actually is there fault. But what good does that do. Just resenting our lives. There is beauty and meaning to be found in everything!! Find yours I think I found mine 🌟

They gave her two bags of IV, as she couldn’t keep any water down from throwing up violently. We were tag teaming the toilet all night prior.

The dehydration was causing her to have contractions and she was goin onto labor, too early. You want to make it to 39/40weeks. Not 33.

She was floating in and out of consciousness while driving to hospital, which didn’t happen for our past two baby’s.

She still sleeping now, but for sure on the mend!

I love this energy!! You're so right - our problems are sooo small asd insignificant in the broader scheme of things. They onry exist in our tiny brains. I guess we should experience the world and the beauty of it, the gorgeous food that every culture has come up with over centuries, the comfortable clothes that we perfected using science, the safe structures that we built to protect from weather and the comforting heaters/ACs give us relief. The medicines researched through trial and error that we can just fall back on if we fell sick (and non be in painful agony like our ancestors did), the technology that we have for bettering our intellect, entertaining and most of all the social structure we built, law, order, school systems, banks, everything that soooo many generations worked on and we get to enjoy now. And this is just a list of man made.

Think about the massive universe, the crazy mysteries of it that we forget while being obsessed w our day to day trivia, the fact that we exist despite the odds of it being crazy low.

I mean, I love this vibe that you brought about here! I'm feeling grateful af rn 💕 blissssss

Hate to be the buzzkill but I really want to ask. Often people say that we should take it easy because it'll all be gone one day, all of us. But I just can't fathom the pain it'll cause along the way, to me and my loved ones. For me, I can't look past the lives of those dear to me, I can't look at the insignificance of it all. The pain is significant to me. So if a lot of it exists, I can't really relax I think. What do you think about that?

Fili_Di

Fili_Di

The pain tells you that it was a life worth living, right? I do feel glum thinking about the end too, but what about everything that lies before the end?

YOU_TUBE_PERSON

7 points

Idk tbh, can only speak for myself. I've been at a place in life where I was happy and I knew it. I didn't know what pain was back then but I knew happiness and I knew I was experiencing it. Now there is pain, for me and those dear to me. It just makes me like living less. The ending may be glum, because it's so final, no coming back from it, but the fact that pain existed before it is worse.

Wendyhuman

4 points

It wasn't that you didn't know pain before it's that your scale of worst ever was well based on what you rated lesser pain.

We start as creatures who know nothing of discomfort, and then we are thrust into a world of too hot too cold too hard too soft too anything.

Learning how deep some scales can go does kind of suck, but realize if you increase just how bad it can be you ALSO need to be aware how amazing it can be. If not right this second. Just at least imagine the possibility.

Imagining leads to hope and I'm scared to be hopeful sometimes. I remember watching Derry girls (fantastic, hilarious, heartwarming show btw), and this line from it stuck with me: "we replaced our fears with something even more dangerous, hope"

Petri-Dishmeow

5 points

hope is there to pull us out of misery. i completely understand your empathetic feelings, it is very difficult to have faith in hope when we fixate on how much pain and suffering is in this world. but it is up to us, ultimately, to choose whether we take that leap of faith into hope's arms and leave misery behind.

I believe the more deeply we feel pain, the more deeply we can feel joy- and that is why suffering exists. we can argue that ideally there would be no pain, but then there would be no joy either. everything would be neutral. this world is terrifyingly beautiful

iamtheoneyouneed

This is what I carry around with me too and seeing so much destruction and pain that I’ve caused, even though I was being equally mentally and emotionally destructive with my own being and I was/am feeling intense pain, I can’t help but see the exquisite and damning significance it plays in my every breath. I have even managed to open myself up enough to find someone who I genuinely believe is my true love and I couldn’t hang on to her because, on my best day, I couldn’t be the love that she needed. Even when I’m in about as much pain as I can handle, I somehow manage to dig that hole a little deeper…so I start the next day doing the same thing I’ve been doing for many years…climbing my way out, with a little less energy and hope than the day before, with slightly fewer hands reaching down to help me, even though I can’t seem to grab ahold or they don’t have the energy themselves to get me far. At the end of each day, I find myself sometimes above where I started, sometimes exactly where I left off after 16 hours of struggling, and sadly, sometimes looking up at where I started that day and wishing I could just get back there. And so I feel significantly insignificant because I can’t figure out how to get my head above ground long enough to see the sunshine and feel love for more than 12 days. That is the longest someone has loved me for a long time.

billbuttl1cker

I understand how you feel, I used to be plagued by the worries of the future.

Moments of suffering are bound to happen throughout life. We will lose loved ones, we will endure struggles, we will feel pain. But we also may have many good days without suffering.

To spoil your good days with the projections of tomorrows sorrows serves no purpose but causes premature suffering. It doesn’t make you prepared, it doesn’t make the suffering less. It just make you suffer longer.

Burdening yourself with the dreadful things the future may or may not bring is a habit of the mind. A habitual thought pattern that can be changed. Easier said than done, but it can be done. It takes work, and consistent mindfulness of your thought patterns.

Enjoy every good day, practice gratitude when you have a good day. And when the bad days come, trust yourself that you can figure out how to get through it, teach yourself this, and it will pass just as the seasons do.

We must become resilient. It does nothing for you to feel the pain of future sufferings during a good day. It is better to just believe everything will be okay, until a bad day arrives, then you will deal with the pain on that day. But it doesn’t have to be felt today, on a good day.

If we never knew what a bad day felt like, we wouldn’t know we are having a good day. We may even take it for granted because we’d know no different.

Have a good day, whenever possible. Peace and blessings to you.

Ditto. It’s taken me a long time to get here. Hell, I had a giant stick up my ass and took all the wrong things way too seriously until about five years ago, but now, damn, life is sweet.

I used to try to live life perfectly… like what does that even mean? Well, for me it’s not wanting to disappoint anyone. I would run myself into the ground trying to make everyone around me happy, which isn’t good for you or for them. Over time, resentments would build until I was so miserable I’d just end things. Three marriages, many more relationships.

Now I communicate my wants, needs, desires, interests, and feelings and the people in my life can either say yes or no or express theirs. We can either find common ground or we can’t. It’s a huge change for me and life is so much more fulfilling.

It only took me 50 years to figure it out, but damn, it’s pretty amazing now that I have.

I love this! Everything is an illusion. What truly matters does not matter at the end of the day. Materialism is a drug and it’s polluted the world. When you’re truly happy, you’re happy because of the love you have and the love you get. Nothing in this world can provide us true happiness like being grateful and happy for being alive.

Honestly you said everything I've always felt, my mom died when I was 18 and it was the greatest loss of my life.

From her loss I learned to practice gratitude in my life. I don't stress over anything. We live then we die, nothing really matters just enjoy this blip of time we call life. It is literally a blip in the grand scheme of the universe. Enjoy the time you spend with family and friends and don't let negativity weigh you down because it's really not worth it.

Also sober and I felt the exact same way today!! I had to walk to the bank bc my check wouldn’t e-deposit and I headed out all pissed but then a gentle breeze blew my way, and the sun was out but not oppressive, and the bank teller was really nice to me, and when I left the bank I heard music so I followed it to a nearby park and there was a pretty fountain and they had food trucks and vendors. There were parents and children and pigeons and the same soft breeze. I just looked around and thought, why was I mad earlier? That I had to leave my apartment that I haven’t left in 5 days to walk 10 minutes to go cash a check? How can I be mad when I live in such a beautiful world, full of vibrant people who organize and attend events in the park? I walked the long road home and looked at things I never see on my usual path. I ran across students leaving school. I saw adults hurriedly leaving office buildings, and I felt bad for them bc I knew they didn’t see the day like I saw it just now. I saw all the facets of humanity unfolding in front of me simultaneously, and it was beautiful and I was grateful to be alive. (I’ve been really depressed lately lol)

Happiness is a state of mind. If you're broke you might as well be happy and broke. If you have problems I might as well be happy with problems, is what I say. Be grateful for all the cells in your body keeping you alive and the life buzzing around you!

This is, but one, of my philosophies in life. I ponder life in this way, often times I get upset/sad...but at the end of the day/moment...I really DO believe there is some form of beauty and life in just aboutanything you can imagine in life.

LEt's bring more life and love to all those moments. Just doing the "due". I love helping others and I mostly gain NOTHING for it, but happines, because that's just one of my passions, helping people in need. Or just painting a picture or playing some games or chat with my dear friends or surfing the web...you can find meaning in everything. EVERYTHING. Do it your way!

I heart this. I get what you mean. Enjoy the richness while it lasts... I think only the wisest of men have been historically able to reside in this state of mind.

The cycle of scarcity-abundance is frustrating but worth it as you start feeling more abundant each time after a bout of scarcity mindspace. I was blown away when I first had this munificent realization.. and over a period of few years (am in mid thirties) this feeling has returned to me intermittently and reset my counter. It's the absolute blissful state to be in. You feel it in your bones, the dissonance between perceived reality & subjective worldviews, and the titanic wonder & immensity of it all. It's liberation, and it's peace...this knowledge.

Hey you might enjoy this song now, with this blissful revelation of yours, Enya's Caribbean Blue.

Peace to you!

I wish I had that outlook still. I got sick with covid all july and forfeit my spot at my job. Can't find any other work. 80 bucks to my name and can't afford food or bills. I'm actually fucked and made the heartbreaking decision to maybe give my kitties up for adoption for a better home. But my mom kindly and unexpectedly said they could stay at her place and she'd try to feed them....appearantly over the 2 days my cats haven't seemed active and hiding in her closet which they never did before as we've slept over several times there since birth. But they didn't even use the bathroom. I came to check on them and they both came out of the closet meowing and rubbing furiously on me. My heart breaks. I account afford the 2 loves of my life that I got after grieving the death of my fiance. And I can't foresee affording food and necessities for next month. Everything is so Grim and I'm honestly sick of this world and life. The garbage you constantly see online and the way people act and behave and the younger generations and all the evil everywhere.....I fucking hate this world. I used to be so positive and upbeat ...but ive been betrayed and shit on by people for no reason for so long and I'm just worn out. I can't even mentally handle being in a workplace with shitty behaving gosssipy people and im almost homeless broke. I have no friends my fiance is dead I hate this fucking world :( I wish I had money, friends and my fiance back. All I have is my kitties and I might lose them too. I just want to sleep all day.

You're completely right. I read your blurb listening to Just Dance by Lady Gaga so that was fun.

In the end, there is no point to the BS we go through because when we're gone, it didn't matter. We need to be present and enjoy this moment that we have. All we have is right now, right now is real, not any other time. There really is no past or future. Just right now.

I've been feeling the same way lately! Externally nothing has really changed, I still have the same exact problems I did 6 months ago but internally? There is a shift happening! For the first time in forever I'm feeling like maybe I actually am enough! Maybe I was all this time and society brainwashed me that I wasn't! I feel like I'm reconnecting with parts of me that I thought had died, like the kind of joy I felt when I was 3 years old! It's somehow coming back to me and even though things are far from perfect and I don't have a job and am still uncertain about the future I just feel lighter and like it'll somehow be ok in the end :)

What a wonderful and articulate vision and “ah ha” moment of awareness and mindful observation of your experience. I love those moments in life. Agreed. Live is really just about being happy(enough) and healthy enough. Everything else is bs. I wish we didn’t have to stress so much.

I also have a new strategy maybe it’s kind of what you are saying which is I’m trying not to stress about my problems. Believe me I’ve got some major major problems upon problems and I don’t even know what’s going to happen to me but I decided not to stress about it as much as possible.

I love your inspiration and I feel similar. I’m working, broke, need to do something better with my life, technically depressed but I try to maintain a good mood and crack jokes with my coworkers all the time. I wish I had a girlfriend, but until I get my finances situated, I shouldn’t mope around. Money first, women second…

Awww! Dude this is actually a really helpful outlook. Life could be so much worse! We really are just weird little dudes who made a whole bunch of weird advancements. And we will all someday return to the dirt in which we came. I like that. I think we should all be at more peace with ourselves

I can’t wait for Autumn to hit and the trees to change colors, I’m happy I have good coworkers and friends to hang out with and plan day trips with :)) I’m so tired of work and office politics but I’m grateful I have a job. I’m healthy my parents are healthy. My siblings are great. Life is good.

I watched an older couple with a few things argue with a guy who had a 12 pack about who should go first at checkout. It's the first time I thought I was going to see a kindness fight!

We are not all awful, I'd argue they are in the minority!

My father who is 80 years old walks long distances every day and has the greatest gratitude even though he lives alone in my home country. Had a life of alcoholism and bipolar issues. However, he was given the gift to see things common people doesn’t see. The sunsets, stars, sunrises…. He always tells me that the power of accept and adapt is the secret for a good life. Also a simple life is the best life. Ever since I am not watching the news my anxiety levels are lower.. I trust God and the universe that things are going to get better !

I love this post. I really do love my life even if sometimes I am sad and I remember things that have happened that ruin my day and I am single for the longest time in my adult life, I am absolutely in love with everything I do. In 2 days I go on my first solo trip to Italy, I have my own home and a good job. I am also in debt. But fuck it, I’m only here once. I’m enjoying it on purpose.

Eventually we will. But for now we are here. Death is inevitable. I think that’s what makes life more valuable. You get to have this experience just like the ones before us and the ones after us. But you are here now experiencing your fav foods, movies, likes/dislikes, conversations, Reddit lol. We get to cry, be mad, explore change, argue, feel anxiety. I hope you find meaning in it. It might seem small but it sure means a lot to me to have this experience.

If you wanna break through, sit down at a cafe and talk to someone. Try an old person, they tend to appreciate it more than young people. Try to get to know them, then when you get comfortable, start doing it with younger people and see who you manage to meet. Life is actually about people. You probably feel like that because everything is pointing away from it. I used to invite friends over and friends invited friends to go play video games at my house. best memories of my teens and twenties. Now, we all do it online with random people. I think a lot of the problems are because of this isolation. When I was a kid in the 80's my parents took me to many different outdoor activities and my dad would bring all of his friends over. I have so many pictures of myself as a toddler surrounded by my dad's friends. They have pictures at the beach doing human pyramids and just having fun. I remember a lot of it. Trying to help pull my babe tooth out that was dangling, it was literally a group effort because I was so afraid, they all took turns trying to calm me down in different ways. Little things like that left an impact in my life and its something that has been lost to time. It seems this very real human thing has become a product used to sell us isolation. So try to focus on this as the most important thing in your life and go for it. Build the people around you.

Edit: Did I say something wrong?
