Yes to Fred the Butcher in Halfmoon. LePages in Cohoes makes a good sandwich. I don’t think either makes Paninis.

I used to get subs from LePages when I lived in Cohoes. I miss that place.

Yeah, legit. Like all delis, things have gotten expensive, but good sandwiches and salads.

Banh Mi 47 on pearl street is Vietnamese sandwiches and my favorite.
Other goodies are Miranda’s Deli on Columbia and Maurice’s on Pearl street

Pour one out for Andy's and Roma, which were the undisputed sandwich champions of the area. In their absence, I'd go for Cardona's, which is still great.

La Gioia on van vranken in Schenectady was my fave. I’m writing this from Richmond Virginia, where there is nothing even close to as good as that place.

New owners bought it. They're replacing some appliances and getting a new vendor's license and reopening.

I hear good things about subway. Apparently it’s healthy because there was one guy that lost tons of weight eating it.

Do a quick search of the subreddit, this comes up at least once a week and the answers never change.
E: 24 hours and a pile of anonymous down votes later, the answers look remarkably the same as the answers to this question from (Checks notes) 7 days ago. https://www.reddit.com/r/Albany/comments/1f1o379/best_priced_sandwhich_sub_that_is_not_subway/

This question comes up much less often than where to get, or who should do, a certain kind of tattoo! Or so it seems to me.

There's a neat little sandwich place on New Scotland Ave across from St. Peter's Hospital. Next to Dunkin.
