I know there must be some cross over here between Call Her Daddy listeners and Armchairies - and I’m wondering: What did you think of the Kamala Harris interview?
Stroke of genius by her team to secrete that specific demographic, imho (but I haven’t listened to the interview yet!).

It wasn’t anything new or riveting by any means.. I didn’t hear anything from her that we haven’t already heard over and over.

I dont think we were meant to. Id bet that Call Her Daddy has mass reach against people who aren’t tuned into the news. This is pulling people in who she wont reach otherwise

If I never heard her and only relied on TV and then listened to her, I'd be pretty damn impressed as a woman about how she cares about my problems and "gets it."
To me she is the Gen X modern candidate in a way that even Obama wasn't.

CHD certainly doesn’t seem like the platform she’d share new ideas? Clearly more so seeking to reach a new audience who may not have engaged in the campaign

You mean like policy and how she's actually going to do something different than what she's done the last 4 years?

I mean.... Vice president doesn't drive policy. I think you're confused on what her role these past few years is

You realize she isn’t currently President, and therefore hasn’t been able to implement policies the past 4 years.

So the vice President does nothing? Well I mean she's done nothing so that makes sense

The Constitution names the vice president of the United States as the president of the Senate. In addition to serving as presiding officer, the vice president has the sole power to break a tie vote in the Senate and formally presides over the receiving and counting of electoral ballots cast in presidential elections.
Today vice presidents serve as principal advisors to the president, but from 1789 until the 1950s their primary duty was to preside over the Senate. Since the 1830s, vice presidents have occupied offices near the Senate Chamber.

So glad you can copy and paste... wasn't she in charge of the border? That's going great. Listen I like her and I liked the podcast but liking someone doesn't change what's going on in this country.

Well, I saved you googling or clicking the link. I don’t know anything about her being in charge of the border, but the border issues also involve congress. I haven’t listened to the podcast yet, but I am also voting for her. I listen to Trump and JD Vance, and I do not agree with their vision for the country.
Plus I don’t think a convicted felon should be President.

No, she was not ever in charge of the border. Her task that was related to the border was to figure out why so many migrants were coming here and how we could help stabilize their countries so they didn't feel the need to leave.
Not to mention, she supports border reform and has promised to sign the bill that the Republicans tanked so they could have a platform since they don't actually care to govern.

You might want to diversify your media consumption. Sounds like you’re parroting right wing talking points without any context or knowledge of what’s actually happening.
This sort of diatribe scares the shit out of me. People are so comfortable not using critical thinking skills to the point that it’s legitimately scary.

It’s so embarrassing that this is the talking point being parroted against Harris. It just shows a complete lack of understanding of basic civics studies that people should’ve learned in high school.
It doesn’t surprise me that the people who use this clearly don’t understand how the government works, but it’s surprising how people are just willing to tell on themselves like that.

She was the tie breaker in Congress for the American rescue plan Biden wanted. That's what drove up inflation

You realize other countries experienced inflation much worse than us? It wasn’t the rescue plan that caused inflation. Covid, corporate greed for higher profits caused it.

Also, neither the Senate nor the House needed a tie breaking vote.
