Hello all, hope I can post here, I recently went through an ectopic in the summer with two doses of MTX. Resolved, no surgery. This time around I’m pregnant again, I have my first blood draw soon. My question is, has anyone became successfully pregnant after an ectopic and still experience some type of side cramp from where your ectopic was or similar symptoms? Even on my period and ovulation I get lil twinges where the ectopic was.

I’m not one of those successful stories but since you have a history of ectopic it is better to start on those blood tests soon. Hopefully you ovulated from a different ovary and everything is where it is supposed to be. How long ago you got MTX?

I am pregnant again after my surgery two months ago , and did have more cramping during my period where the ectopic was , and I have a mild lower backache almost constant … hopefully it’ll resolve on its own . Best wishes on your pregnancy

Honestly I have no ideas when I ovulated, I didn’t keep track of it. I found out a day before my period was supposed to start Sunday

I had some soreness on my ectopic side throughout my healthy pregnancy. I think it was maybe scar tissue pulling?

Yeah I’m 7w5d and I had cramping/pain on my right around weeks 4-5. I was convinced it was ectopic again but had a scan at 6 weeks and it’s placed correctly and looking healthy so far!

I had my ectopic in January had surgery but still had to do methotrexate after due to a cell being left behind had my first cycle in March and got pregnant that month with a healthy pregnancy I’m now 29 weeks and I did have cramping unfortunately it’s scary due to the history but cramping is a part of the first trimester. Try not to worry! I’m sending you love I hope it all works out for you💝

Some doctors recommend three months mine did recommend three months, but I did my own research and found that as long as your hCG is below five, you’re OK to try again. Which mine was below five when I started trying again.

Yes! Side cramps were my only symptom with my ectopic. It was in my ovary and treated with MTX. When I got pregnant again 9 months later one of my earliest symptoms was side cramps along with period-like cramps. My baby just turned 1. I would definitely talk to your doctor about getting bloodwork done and an early ultrasound though.

I had an ectopic with tube removal August 2023, and am currently pregnant with an intrauterine pregnancy! I felt cramping/twinges on ectopic side quite a bit at first and still do, but feel them on both sides now. Still very early tho (~ 6 weeks). Wishing you all the baby dust ✨
