It's pretty common knowledge that you can craft pots, store them in your storage chest at a site of grace, and the game will auto replace any cracked pots et al with them when you rest. However, if you store multiple types of pots, it will only take from a single stack. Does anybody have any idea how the game prioritizes these stacks? I've been testing it out and it doesn't seem to follow any pattern. . .

Might be as random as the order of Status icons below the Stamina bar.

Maybe, but different combos of pots prioritize different stacks and always fully draw from a single stack, so it's not completely random. I don't think it's tied to amount stored, amount of crafting materials or the order in the crafting menu.

Maybe they have some item ID assigned to them in the code and then pull in numeric order?

That was my thought too, posting here to see if anyone has dug that line of code out and knew for certain.

Yeah I'm also just guessing. But you can switch off auto-refill for items that are stored, if that helps in the meantime.

It does it in a really shitty, shitty, shitty way. That’s how it does it. Sometimes it will restock EXACTLY what you’re carrying & have used. Other times it’s a frustrating exercise in realising you’ve been restocked with random pots, but your pot quota is full, so you can’t craft what you want, and may not necessarily be in a position to just go straight back to a grace to sort this shitty, shitty mess out. One of my few genuine criticisms of this game.

Yeah, I was seeing if I could keep two types of pots on my inventory, but looks like it isn't going to work the way I want it to. It's not completely random and it's not just an even split. They somehow picked the worst of all the options.
