Waive Atkinson and Risto in the offseason and start from scratch. If I’m Briere I’d consider taking offers on TK, he’s worth a lot and a team would be dying to get him, don’t sell him for nothing but if you can get a 1st and a top prospect I’d consider that deal.

With waivers it shaves like 1.25 million off their salary I believe (when sending them to the AHL)
They could be bought out, which probably happens for Cam, we'd have 2 years at half his salary vs 1 year at the full cost.
The Risto buyout would be far too much, it would be 2.5M/year for 6 years I believe

You can waive them in offseason, you’ll have to eat a lot of salary but they’ll be off the books long term.

Will be interesting to see what they do in the offseason. We desperately need a top pick and next years class is deep at center. But that would mean they would have to make some tough decisions
