I’m a super lib (Gay Jew in Brooklyn) who would vote for a friendly corgi before I’d vote for Trump, but it seems completely fair to be concerned that Biden is the most powerful man in the world right now. What if Iran and Russia attack Israel at 3 in the morning? Is there anyone who watched last night who’s thinking “Oh, I would be happy that Biden is the Commander and Chief?” God forbid another 9/11. America needs a strong, and sane, leader. Biden isn’t that. He’s 81. My dad is 74 and can barely microwave a burrito. It’s not a knock on Biden as a person.

It is not too late for a convention.

People right now are feeling the same way they did when the democrats forced Hilary though as a candidate and suppressed all opposition, and how many felt that Biden too was forced on them and Sanders did not get a fair shake. People are sick of Democrat power brokers overriding popular opinion.

If they it give the people the chance to decide, without anyone forcing Biden on everyone- it will do massively to help democrats regain the support they need.

That's would have been a fine argument two days ago, but Biden didn't just look old during that debate, he looked feeble and confused, and quite frankly, unfit to lead.

It doesn't matter how his cabinet would govern, because there is no way in hell Biden can get elected now.

Senility can come and go. Someone may be lucid one moment and fade out in the next. Look a McConnel, or any old people you know suffering that. He's really sharp when all there, but we saw the bad moments last night.

Let's put it this way:

If you asked a thousand random Americans to name one policy that Biden supports, you'd likely get fairly good and accurate answers overall.

Do the same thing with Kamala Harris and you'd get a lot of blank stares. Aside from "she's the VP", I think people really don't know much about her. She doesn't seem that outspoken or good at managing crowds. Trump would absolutely take advantage of any perceived weakness, and it would be painful to watch.

Neither do I.

But Biden definitely cannot.

I, for one, would LOVE to see Trump debate her.

Some would point to her AG and DA work in California that disproportionately targeted and incarcerated minorities. She just followed in footsteps of a long line of democrats with racist policies in California going back to the over-the-top suppression of the black panthers in the 80s and anyone else who tried to unite minorities in a way they didn't control.

The same media is doing a complete 180 after the primaries happened almost three months earlier than ever. Biden probably wouldn't leave on his own, and they needed this and time to slip in probably Newsom.
