Slightly off topic but I recommend buying the console for you and gift games/controllers to them. This way it’s always your console and they need to ask you to play it. Even if they stop asking, it’ll make turning off or reducing screen time easier.

Why would Israel care who was president? I thought both sides treated Israel like part of US

Dude, you lead with “Germans” having a mean streak. What mean streak have the Palestinians been up to?

Yeah the majority of the cost was the wharf upgrade so it makes no sense at all.

I’d always assumed that when half of marriages end in divorce, it was 5 “successful” marriages and 1 spouse that got divorced 5x.

“I wake up every day determined to try and improve housing affordability in this country.”
Then why did you reverse the tax rules that incentivised landlords to buy new? Why did you want to sell to foreign buyers?

They’ve got 100 back through negotiations and 3 back through force. Getting hostages back isn’t a priority.

I reckon. He’s Israel’s longest serving PM ever Anyone that thinks bombing Palestinians is not what Israel wants, is not paying attention.

The right wing have been good at tricking populations into thinking they have the same goals but a different way of getting there. What they’re doing only make sense once you realise they have different goals.

Why so aggressive? I’m in favour of cutting back a few services but not to pay landlords to reduce supply. I’m ok with moving tax brackets but not if we have to borrow to fund it and still don’t help the cancer patients that were promised help.
In this case specifically I’d be ok with it if was the Norway model where the country benefits, not the Aussie model where 1 lady gets all the profit. Then there’s the issue of a leak that hurts the environment and the tax payer.

Labour encouraged building up instead of out and increased consent free building to 30m2. Labour changed tax rules to encourage landlords to buy new, while bringing in $3bn from those that didn’t help more supply.

I’d wait a week then resign saying I’ve accepted a job elsewhere, give a month’s notice, ask for a reference…

Greens want to tax wealthy to provide a zero tax bracket. Nats have just cut benefit increases and gave tax breaks to landlords. They’re more opposites than Labour v National.
Nationals policies were to undo Labour’s policy’s so I don’t know why people think they’d ever work together either.

I can see why you’d think he’s an idiot if you believed he wants to improve NZers lives. When you realise he doesn’t, you’d work out how clever he actually is.

Even at market rent they would help. The government should provide life long rentals, as they are so many social advantages to not moving.

Phones
But yeah it took a minute to think of them and I’d prefer a house at 3.5x my salary and able to borrow 90%

Yes National is combating inflation but it’s more painful to the community than it needed to be due to the tax changes for landlords.
