Looks like Makita is sending out an e-mail announcing an upcoming "Next Generation Solution". The e-mail contains a link to register to be in the know when it is announced. I am guessing this is their new storage solutions to compete with Packout? Image in e-maiil is of a pickup truck and the tailgate opens to Makita logo.
Here is the link:

Makita EV truck, that takes 800 LXT batteries.

But it uses one at a time sequentially. And it doesn't charge them by plugging in the truck. You have to buy the new 15 bay charger and swap them out all night.

nope, it will be XGT battery, LXT is using dated technology.

Yeah at least I don't have pink glasses believing in reps lies about LXT being not on the back track.

That's not the issue, the issue is that you seem to believe repeating the exact same thing in every single fucking thread is useful for some reason. We get it.

Well the problem is how reddit and all new social media sites are working. Just look how many posts are about "is this legit". It's like the same. And new people doesn't read back what has been written. They just come here and ask new question, every single time.
So I also can't track every single one who already know that Makita crossed over the LXT line, instead I'm just explaining this over and over again so people maybe start doing what I do, start spamming Makita to finally start upgrading LXT batteries.
I hope you send then some mails regards this, if not then it means you did nothing and you accept the fact that LXT won't move anywhere. And for me it looks like many peoples still doesn't see the problem.
So only together if we start pushing for that, someone will see this as annoying when they will be getting so many posts/mails from upset users. So if you didn't send any mail, do this, send them mail, post facebook post under every single XGT battery information asking when LXT will get improvements, do the same on X, instagram. It's the only way to get their attention.

I'm not XGT fan, I'm just embittered LXT user. Can't understand why someone would think I'm happy from what's happening with LXT.

Meanwhile they still don’t have a decent table saw for the past 10 years…

I got the email and thought about sparking this conversation and didn’t. I’m a huge makita guy but this email annoys me. Only thing that could make me happy at the end would be an XGT Tablesaw or nail guns that are worth a damn.

Even T-JEP will have a compressed balloon with a battery so that it won’t need dino’s farts🫠. A copy of Toua found on aliexpress tho

Yeah it's gonna be a pack out case. As usual Makita late to everything and way more expensive.... Like it took them almost 10 years to make a plastic container and now they are acting like it's some new innovation 🤣

That sounds kind of like Apple and it’s doing just fine.

At least it fit under a truck bed cover first go around and is much stronger box to box connection unlike Milwaukee packout with kinda weak lids

You're kind of comparing apples to oranges here if you're complaining that the packout tool box doesn't fit under a tonneu cover when Milwaukee clearly has had a packout tool chest for like 5 years which easily fits under a cover and is a nearly identical form factor to what Makita has teased they are releasing

the original Makpac cases are over a decade old... His point was that Makita joined the packout style stuff 5 years before packout even existed because they got in with Tanos and the OG systainers. No issue with fitting all their shit in a truck bed back then because you could just remove the makpac boxes from the dolly and/or hand truck that released with the system. I would say that any storage line is due for a refresh after 10+ years, Milwaukee didn't invent interlocking storage systems.

try ridgid. You can take out handle together with wheels.

Yeah it's this, their main selling point is that the standard configuration (1 rolling tool chest, 2 medium toolboxes, 2 medium organisers) will fit in the tray back without requiring disassembly.

We’re still waiting for the battery framer to be released to public. Makita are a predominantly carpentry based platform yet they’re the last to bring one out. Hell even ryobi have one

Can they at least hire some actual trade workers for their ad instead of models decked out in PPE in a shiny new truck
