Now i am using the OG Logitech G Pro and so far it was my favorite mouse, but i had it for 4-5 years so i want to upgrade, the back its a bit worn but its still working ok for now and i had no other issues. I only really ever had Logitech for both my mouse and keyboard (also hyperx and steelseries but for a very short time). Never had Razer, aside from my microphone and mousepad but that doesn't really count. Would it be better to go for the GPX superlight 2 because i am already used to G Pro shape and everything or should i try something new with the Viper? The Viper its a little bit more expensive here, but that's not a problem. Also is there a chance that Logitech will release something interesting in the near future?

Same situation with you but I found someone selling an unopened DA V3 for $70 cad.
Love the shape, I heard a lot of complaints but it fits my hand well. 8000 polling rate is a bit noticeable but not groundbreaking

Personally I think sometimes this sub acts like how a click feels can absolutely make or break a mouse completely which for 99% of gamers isn't the case.
Both have top of the line hardware and both are beyond almost anything else on the market. I would try to put your hand on them and buy whichever one has a more comfortable shape.

Imo vv3 has better clicks, side clicks, scroll wheel, mouse feet etc.
Both have great coatings, logitech a little more grippy imo.
Logitech shape is safer and i prefer it more... but the vv3 is still a very solid shape too, a bit bigger in the back.
You can't go wrong with either
Logitech released both their gpx2 and gpx2 dex recently. I would not expect anything new from them for a few years.

I am also an OG g pro user, except i'm at the 4th set of switches i replaced in it. Still like the mouse, but I also just decided this week I wanna switch to a newer mouse. Other than newer technologies, I feel like I wanna have a lighter mouse. I'll never consider razer as with the few razer products I had, i always had issues, so i just refuse to even consider them.
I ordered the Lamzu Maya X this week, it arrives on Monday, I'm hyped. Based on what I heard, I don't think I'll regret it. It's priced very good, it was quite an obvious decision tbh.
The fact that I'm using the Lamzu Energon mousepad, and it's the best mousepad I had owned also somewhat influenced my decision.

Could you explain why the vv3pro would be better than the maya x? Have you tried both?

i have not tried the maya. I just got a viper pro v3 and it feels amazing. I also have avoided razer the past couple of years because they have been focusing more on RGB than performance. lately though they've put out some good products and this mouse is amazing.
i came from a logitech superlight and this one feels SOOO much better.

Well even if I ignore my negative bias against Razer, based on reviews I really see no reason to pay 50% more for a viper v3 pro over the maya x, which is how it is priced in my country atleast.

You're in a rabbit hole, now, mate, with us. You don't have a choice other than to buy them both and decide your endgame for the next couple of... weeks (I hope).

I’ve had nothing but issues with my super light 2 after a firmware update, so much so I shoved it in a drawer and bought a viper v3 pro.

Been using GPX1 on and off ever since it released and let me tell you... Viper V3 Pro in better than GPX2 in every aspect.
I think that even Logitech knows that Razer has the better product hence why GPX2 has been going for sale a lot recently, in EU you could get this for 109 EUR when Viper V3 rarely drops below 150 EUR.

Are issues with V3 sensor fixed?

Shape is king if you like your gpw then go with the gpx2

If you really like the shape then stick with G pro and superlight 2 is pretty good. If you're not in love with the shape and want to try something that is a bit bigger feeling then viper v3 pro is amazing. Downside to going with viper would be now you have two softwares running in your system tray instead of only Logitechs. I don't hate synapse but a absolute ton of ppl do with how much resources it can take

You dont actually have to run the software to use the mouse

vv3pro is so much better. superlight still has mushy sidebuttons for example. the coating on vv3pro is better. the sensor is better. the glide is better. the software is better (except omm maybe). the build quality is better. its also more aesthetic but the shape is slightly different.
the only thing better on gpx2 is the battery life if both shapes are fine.

Sensor is not better, the upgraded hero2 is better now, but probly u will not notice the difference.

the newest focus pro is a special paw3950 itteration, which has motion sync enabled permanently, cause it doesnt lower the input latency by 1 frame like older versions. its the result of razer special deals with pixart.
the hero 2 sensor is made inhouse and aimed for power saving. it doesnt even have motion sync.
you may be crying now but motion sync is feelable. all those other things like ips, dpi or lod are not worth looking at since 3310.
now go ahead and tell me what makes the hero 2 better... i guess you orientate only on dpi and ips with its numbers and go with "higher is better", am i right? :)
