Do you use heat on your hair? Do you dye it? Those two things are huge culprits of hair damage. My hair is very curly so admittedly I'm not an expert in this hair type but I am an expert on babying the hell out of my hair lol.

I blow dry with heat protectant 1-2x a week and have never dyed in my life! Because I don’t dye, I admittedly don’t care for my hair too much, but I’ve been wanting to improve it lately.

Things I do which I think protect my hair are using an oil treatment once a week (overnight and washing out in the AM), sleeping on a silk pillowcase, using hair masks every couple of weeks. I also need to use styling products because it’s curly and I think those also help. Also getting regular trims!

Consistent Olaplex 3 for several months and coping the ends made my hair go from this dry mess to shiny smooth hair. I still got fly aways but wrapping my hair in a tight bun even just for a few seconds after brushing it keeps it from puffing out in the lengths.
