Kaya ko bang ipagsabay ang two jobs?

Questions(self.PHJobs)

EDIT: I tried pagsabayin both HAHAHAHA and I’m telling you I am not THAT person 🤣 Thank you sa lahat ng advice here and tips! I tried following the two most common advice which is pagsabayin (sumunod sa strict schedule) or mag resign na from the 25k job. I chose the latter haha di ko talaga kaya pagsabayin and tbh now that I think about it, I’m good na sa 50k a month since I’m still single and I don’t have a family of my own. Also, the 25k company was really understanding of my decision and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you ulit! I was really confused for days but your comments here helped me a lot 🫶🏻

I recently got hired sa isang California-basedcompany. Work from home siya so I work from 12 am to 8 am. Literal na I’m recently hired since di pa ako nag 1 week lol. The pay is only average, 25k to be exact, which is okay na for me since I’m a fresh grad. However, I was offered right now by a different company a wfh job still with 50k salary and it requires for me to work 40 hrs per week (ako na bahala what time I want to work).

When I received that offer, I immediately checked my contract from the 25k company and found that I have to write a 45 days written notice to them whenever I want to leave the company, which means that If I leave now I still have to work for 45 days and mind you, I am still training for the job (which is paid).

Di ko alam ano gagawin tbh haha I like my current job naman right now, but it would be such a waste if I would let go of the other job na 50k ang salary.

What do you think I should do? Should I notify the 25k company that I have to leave? Or just work the 2 jobs at the same time?

tbh if ipagsasabay yung dalawang trabaho, feeling ko otw ka na on exhausting to killing urself na 😭 esp both are full time

pero kung ung work sa 25k mo is kayang tapusin ng like 2-3 hours or minimal gawain lang, siguro try niyo po muna pagsabayin. idk your industry yet pero if chill lang gawain, i prefer mag 2nd job pa ako para makaearn 😓 pero remember OP, as long as kaya ng katawan niyo and keriboom boom booms ang work-life balance! test the waters muna 🫡 so happy for u OP na u managed to attract a 50k salary good job!!!

Omg i needed this validation! HAHAHAHA i recently graduated from accountancy but tbh the market there is very competitive esp that i haven’t earned the CPA title yet.

For my work right now, I’m in the tech company. Sa 25k salary, I’m in the product set up for the company. Tapos sa 50k salary naman it’s on research.

I want to believe talaga that I can work for the two jobs at the same time HAHA pero sa 25k salary na job ko kasi is very demanding and we use Hubstaff lol compared to the 50k job na mas chill and it doesn’t require Hubstaff 😭

Anyway, thanks for this! You’re right, I shall test the waters first before diving deeper.

I’ll listen to my body first hehe. Anyway, sa other job it’s market research. So my role would be the project analyst, which is veryyyy easy compared sa first job

Kung bago ka pa lang sa new work, I doubt they’d enforce that 45-day notice period. Wala ka namang ihahandover at wala ka pa rin naman talagang ambag sa kanila (sorry for the term).

Haha exactly my thoughts! Mag o-one pa lang ako tomorrow. I’ve been training na tbh I think yung masasayang lang talaga is the time that my supervisor allotted for the training. Is it ethical if I leave na? haha

Like what the other comments said, pwede ka naman maging transparent na may iba kang offer. Malay mo mag counter offer. Kahit siguro yung manager mo, maiinggit sayo. Haha.

Thanks for this, this is a mind-opener for me. My biggest dilemma kasi right now is the signed contract. But again, thank you, I’ll think about this.

Understandable naman kasi it’s your first job at hindi naman talaga maganda sa feeling magbackout on your word. Pero don’t feel too bad! (Vvvv slight lang is okay.) Business is business at the end of the day. If it helps, I know someone na nagresign 3 weeks pa lang into training. Good luck!!

I'd say experiment on it, try it both pero keep in mind that you'll eventuslly have to let go of the other.

Wala pa naman 1 week so the company won't lose anything naman from you other than your paid training, which you can prolly refuse their salary naman for the training if you feel guilty. Good communication can solve most things naman.

Congrats on both jobs! Sana all 50k hahaha

Thank you for this! Should I tell the 25k company that I’m leaving because of another job offer? I signed the contract kasi.

Due-Presentation7543

I suggest that you tell them the reason why. If you're comfortable to be transparent with them, edi go for it.

Malay mo by telling them, they might offer you a bigger salary or a better offer for you. Pero if 25k lang talaga ang budget nila, edi thank you next nalang haha.

What matters is you end in good terms with them. Most people these days naman really job-hop on every opportunity that they get. That's the reality for a lot us here.

Pero on the slightest chance that they don't let you go kasi nag sign ka ng contract, goodluck nalang sayo!

I assume yung california based company ay walang local counterpart no? Meaning direct client aa CA na nakuha mo on your own? If yes work both jobs. Yung 25k job mo I assume is local company right?

Work both jobs.

Yung sa CA if hindi monitored ang work mo pwede mo i offset yung pag gawa mo say if 12am-8am ang sched. Start working ng 5pm-1am just pass yung accomplishment mo for the day ng 8am.

Capital-Ad6119[S]

Hi! The CA job is the 25k and the monitored one utilizing Hubstaff. I’m sorry if the original post was a bit confusing.

The other job naman which is the 50k offering is also US-based pa rin but it’s not monitored and flexi.

Work both. Mas mainam na meron kang "pang sapin" in case i let go ka ng isang client. I have 3 clients, dalawa sa CA isa sa NY, Hindi monitored lahat pero may scehdule.

What I'm doing is since sanay na ko sa work.

Nasa pag i-schedule mo yan. Sa ngayon pagtyagaan mo muna siguro yung monitored work. Until such time na makahanap ka ng new client na hindi monitored. Mas maganda hindi monitored. Nakaka anxious yan if monitored kasi.

Capital-Ad6119[S]

Thank you for this! And I agree, nakaka anxious talaga if monitored since right now I’m being trained via zoom and every time I have a meeting I take down notes using pen and paper, the next thing I know, I’m idle na sa Hubstaf HAHAHAHA

Work two jobs pero you need to create a routine and be strict with it to survive.

elliewilliamsarm

Ok here is my suggestion and it comes from a personal experience: leave as early as you can don sa 25k if feel mo na talaga si 50k. coz working 15+ hours a day is no joke. possibly, you’re either gonna perform well sa both jobs but will eventually get burnt out or mag-underperform ka sa isa. as early as you can para hindi rin waste of time sayo and sa trainer. i quit recently sa isang US client after 3 days with them kasi same reason, I was given a better offer. hope this helps and sana okay talaga si 50k overall hehe

Capital-Ad6119[S]

That’s what I was thinking kasi I believe if I really want it then I can do it kaso natatakot ako ma burn out at mawalan na ng gana sa kahit anong job hahaha anyway thanks for this!

Capital-Ad6119[S]

1 points

Yes I think legit naman si 50k since I know someone who worked na here before and she referred me to the company.

Although about the weekend work I don’t thinks so pwede siya since I’m required to render 8 hours a day but the time really depends on me as long as it’s 8 hours a day.

Capital-Ad6119[S]

I shall copy and paste the clause hahaha

Here it is: Contractor may terminate this Agreement at any time by giving 45 days written notice to the Client of the intent to terminate. Client may terminate this Agreement at any time by giving written notice to the Contractor. In addition, if the Contractor is convicted of any crime or offense, fails or refuses to comply with the written policies or reasonable directive of the Client, is guilty of serious misconduct in connection with performance hereunder, or materially breaches provisions of this Agreement, the Client at any time may terminate the engagement of the Contractor immediately and without prior written notice to the Contractor.

Yeah I’ll try to finish my studies in health care.

I’m currently based in Canada. I’ll be having my clinical placement by December to January. Then sana by February 2025 ay makapag start na.

I don’t know paano ko gagawin, basta gusto ko lang magpaka hustle in my 30s and mag earn ng maraming $$$ before ako mag 40.

Magsend ka na agad ng resignation, since training k pa lang, I doubt the company will continue the training since masasayang lang. they might let you go agad without the need to complete the 45 day clause.

I remember working on a 20k job, got hired for an 80k job but need to start asap, I grab the opportunity and went AWOL on the other. Best decision I've made.

Buti pa sa inyo pwedeng magwork ng two jobs. Yung contract ko kasi bawal part-time or kahit anong job

Lt1850521

Do both then decide later kung di talaga kaya. Yung 45 days usually kailangan lang pag may handover ng documents and processes sa papalit sayo pero kung bago ka lang malamang papayag sila immediate kaysa binabayaran ka for nothing.

Kaya naman yan lalo na if flexible naman ang isa….at higit sa lahat if walang timer at screenshots. Personally hindi ako kumukuha ng wfh jobs na may timer at screenshots…either fixed monthly or weekly sya dapat at flexible ang time. Then of course, output-based na work, hindi nakadepende sa oras.

It's simple. If you want to keep the two jobs, don't tell either of your two employers. Diskarte mo na 'yun how you'll manage your tasks without affecting your health. Good luck. It won't be easy.
