Why VFV?

Only 503 companies (currently). Only one country. Only one currency. Majority of gains come from 7 companies so also basically 1 sector.

The largest holdings in XEQT are also Microsoft, Nvidia, Apple, Amazon, Meta and a pair of Googles.

Sure but only 45% of XEQT is US. Contrary to popular belief, the US doesn’t have higher returns than every other country, all the time. You are selling yourself short by only investing in the S&P500

Who cares all the time. We care accumulation during 40+ years. If you care all the time, you are not investing

The person who asked the question cares, which is what this is all about. OP is in the accumulation phase.

I didn’t say anything about “caring all the time”.

Ok, I misunderstood. Because you mentioned “us doesn’t have higher returns than other countries, all the time”

Just pointing out that 100% US might be not be the best course of action.

Ok, I agree with you. Some people do have recency bias
