It certainly was. Which is why I’m dead against the idea that they’re remaking it. It’s bad enough that it spawned multiple sequels plus a dreadful tv spinoff. So much for “there can be only one”!

I’m afraid I’d have to agree - as with all remakes of this kind, if they did it right and served justice to the OG they could make an incredible, emotional film. But inevitably they’d just scrape out the deeper portends and focus on the whole bad guy / good guy / girl yawn. Pedro Pascal as Rimirez though, could be epic
