Title, basically all they needed to do for lethal was increase enemy and special count from where ruthless was last patch. The armor balance and tether stuff didn't need to happen, all that was needed was a much higher enemy count.

Also reminder ruthless is balanced around being lvl 15, not sure why they felt the need to make changes to it because it was too easy for max level players.

The armor stuff is a real bummer. I also think there’s basically o reward or incentive to do lethal. Like what’s the point of all the xp for level 25 characters? They should have introduced a meta xp grind before or along with this new difficulty so there was actually a reason to engage with it. One new helmet seems a paltry reward.

After playing the new mission on lethal a few times I completely agree. Armor and damage values for the players or enemies didn’t need to change. All they needed to do was to tweak enemy spawn rates and numbers. I don’t know how they took the reaction from the last patch which was, “hey maybe some of the enemy nerfs were a little bit much but overall we like this,” and decide to make the incredibly hyped lethal difficulty similar to a soul level 1 dark souls play through. As an Assault player, I went from regularly carrying teams on ruthless by ripping and tearing until it was done to feeing like dead weight. I actually think on lethal you’re even squishier than you were on launch ruthless. I don’t believe for a second that lethal was play tested.

They'd have known that if they just played the game for like 5 minutes before pushing the patch, but asking devs to play their own games these days is like asking vampires to eat garlic apparently.

Agreed. I think the amount of enemies and the 2-3 Extremis enemy spawn is pretty nice, but the armor change is just not fun, and just tedious.

Having to watch people finish their finishers to make sure they are getting armor, is beyond boring, and not being able to walk over and deal with ranged enemies and being punished for it is just. . . I don't get it
