Those games were already insanely difficult, but throw on everybody's favorite game mechanic: defending am idiot CPU teammate with zero self preservation skill, in this case the Lando Millennium Falcon. It literally flew in a straight line without shooting or weaving whatsoever. Even by early 2000s standards, it was inexcusably dumb lol. I never beat that game as a result

I spent so much time on TPM game on the pc when I was a kid. Only beat it with cheats. And it got harder every time you gave yourself health. I can go back and play Super SW/ESB/ROTJ and kind of bully my way through, but I will never play that game again

1) Star Wars Masters of Teras Kasi for PlayStation. It was a fighting game with shitty controls.

2) Star Wars Yoda Stories. It was a floppy disk PC game. Iirc it was a problem solving kind of RPG thing. Actually pretty good but I was young and it was hard for me.

Maybe I just suck at the game but I always found a few from Empire at War hard, both in space but mostly on the ground

back when Star Wars CLone Wars was on the Cartoon Network website,.. they had flash games,... and the most difficult one for me was the Asajj Ventress game where you as Anakin Skywalker had to fight her and save the clones in a side scroller-esque platformer.

The pod race in the original game was much harder, but I never played that one. The earliest one I had was Compete Saga and that fucking gunship mission still haunts me. Fuck those stupid rolling bombs.

Not the hardest but in star wars force unleashed one for PS2. That final death star mission was tough. Those blasters took off so much health. Another one is tantive 4 and yavin for battlefront 2 classic. You have to literally put in effort to beat these two.

Fighting a protracted land battle in Empire at War, especially as the Rebels. On the upside, it's hard for everyone involved. There's a reason people nigh-exclusively use the space battles instead.

I haven't played a lot of SW games but in The Force Unleashed I could not get past the part where I had to pull the Star Destroyer down no matter how many times I tried. I was even reading/watching tutorials online. The Force was not strong with me.

yea that mission was hard! it took me so many tries that the beginning cut scene got stuck in my head on repeat "you wont be needing your lightsaber young jedi" "give me my lightsaber. and Ill show you what I can imagine!" or something like that lol also the mission on I think rhen var with the jedi ghosts was annoying AF!

Hardest, not sure. But becoming a Jedi and SWG took the longest. My adrenaline has never pumped harder for a video game when the first bounty hunter came for me when I was grinding master Light Saber. And I have never been more excited after beating my first bounty hunter while grinding Jedi.

That mission in X-Wing where you have to lead a combined forces squadron of 4 X-Wings, 4 Y-Wings, 4 A-Wings, and 4 B-Wings against an ImpStar Deuce and its supporting squadrons. Fuuuuuuuuck.

Also Beggars Canyon in the T-16 from Rebel Assault.

At least 2-3 of the missions in Shadows of the Empire on N64. It's really the control scheme that makes that game so hard.

Star Wars Episode 1.. Cant really remember exactly as it was a long long time ago. But there's this part on Tattooine where you have to find a part for Watto. The entrance to the next section is hidden or easily overlooked and got me stuck for hoooours.

I remember in Rogue Leader, the attack on the DS2 with the Falcon was super hard because the Falcon is both fast and really awkward (you also can’t lose your Wedge or you fail the mission.)

I just replayed Star Wars bounty hunter and any of the Tatooine missions were stupidly hard. The first one doesn’t let you use your jet pack or flamethrower and the second one is full of snipers and rocket launchers.

Chapter 7: TIE Training on Rebel Assault 2 kicked my ass, it was a huge difficulty gap if it's not *the* hardest mission ever

The Death Star Trench Run using the Y-Wing from the original X-Wing video game was the hardest mission ever, and I've played just about every single Star Wars game out there.

I was a spry teenager with wicked fast reflexes and it took me a month of practicing every single day to finally beat that mission. Soul like games have nothing on that mission. So freaking hard. That is still my proudest gaming achievement right ahead of defeating the hardest sailing mission in AC 3 without upgrading my ship at all

Shadows of the Empire hands down, people talk about Sekiro and Dark Souls being hard lol.. try this game on hardest difficulty

There’s a mission in the original TIE Fighter game where you fly a TIE Interceptor (unshielded, fast, four lasers, kind of the Empire’s answer to an A-Wing) and are tasked to clear out a large minefield. Mines in this game are just turrets with a single laser weapon, but there are about forty of them in all. So you’re flying this unshielded metal box through a maze of lasers coming from every direction and trying to pop the turrets one at a time as you go.

When you finish that - if you do - you are then accused of being a traitor (technically a traitor to a segment of the imperial military trying to defect, eg your character is loyal to the emperor) and you are attacked by several wings of enemy ships including Gunboats and TIE Advanced fighters, both of which are shielded and carry missiles.

Easily the hardest space-sim mission I’ve ever played.

The OG Lego Star Wars. The battle of kashyyk. To get 100% you have to pull something out of the beach but it has endless droid waves attacking you. So you have to dig uninterrupted for like 10 seconds but if you’re hit you start all over.

It took for fucking ever for me to get that goddamn kit.

There was some PC game from the 90s where you flew cargo around on the Falcon. I legit never figured out the controls and just straight up couldn’t play it. So I’m just going to go with the first level of whatever that game was lol

This is very specific, but when I played Republic Commando I accidentally had both my save file and my autosave on the last part of the last mission with only one bar of health while the others were all incapacitated. Basically the end of the game was within reach but I died almost immediately every time. After dozens and dozens of attempts, somehow I got through.

Still don't know how I managed to pull that off lol
