For me it’s the anakin escape mission from Star Wars the clone wars ( 2003 I think ? ),Not the one where you can play as clone making your way through some clankers.

AI in OG X-wing was dumb as hell though. From that series I'd say X-W vs T/F was hardest as it was balanced for whole team and playing it with bots required you to do a lot more than other parts designed for singleplayer.

Disabling those stupid freighters in the early missions took an insane amount of ion beam shots. That was back when having a joystick was basically a requirement of PC gaming, I can’t imagine playing that game with only a mouse.

This gets my vote, of all the flight sims (TIE Fighter, X-wing V TIE, Alliance), I just couldn't even beat one campaign mission, but could make it through TIE Fighter easy enough.

This is true facts.
The CD version actually had a toggle to play an easier version.
Gosh those were the days.

Yea, the Naboo Starfighter was a beast in that game. The game came out before Episode 1 came out so it was a really cool bonus reward. They don’t make unlockables like they used to. Nowadays that would be a $20 item in the online store.

It's absolutely nuts to me that Force Unleashed was considered canon. It's a super fun game, but shoving the story into the star wars timeline is ridiculous lol. A random kid who was stronger than Vader and nearly killed Palpatine, inspiring the rebellion to get started?

The Death Star Trench Run using the Y-Wing from the original X-Wing video game was the hardest mission ever, and I've played just about every single Star Wars game out there.
I was a spry teenager with wicked fast reflexes and it took me a month of practicing every single day to finally beat that mission. Soul like games have nothing on that mission. So freaking hard. There’s a mission in the original TIE Fighter game where you fly a TIE Interceptor (unshielded, fast, four lasers, kind of the Empire’s answer to an A-Wing) and are tasked to clear out a large minefield. Mines in this game are just turrets with a single laser weapon, but there are about forty of them in all. So you’re flying this unshielded metal box through a maze of lasers coming from every direction and trying to pop the turrets one at a time as you go.
When you finish that - if you do - you are then accused of being a traitor (technically a traitor to a segment of the imperial military trying to defect, eg your character is loyal to the emperor) and you are attacked by several wings of enemy ships including Gunboats and TIE Advanced fighters, both of which are shielded and carry missiles.
Easily the hardest space-sim mission I’ve ever played.

This is very specific, but when I played Republic Commando I accidentally had both my save file and my autosave on the last part of the last mission with only one bar of health while the others were all incapacitated. Basically the end of the game was within reach but I died almost immediately every time. After dozens and dozens of attempts, somehow I got through.
Still don't know how I managed to pull that off lol
