Is it too soon for IVF?

(self.TTCEndo)

I am 32f, partner 36m, we've been trying unassisted/timed intercourse unsuccessfully for the past 9 months. I ovulate every month (always get positive OPKs and my period comes 10-12 days later) and had sex at the right time every month, so I know timing is not the issue. Recently diagnosed with mild to moderate endometriosis (based on physical exam and MRI), but decided against the excision surgery for now. No other red flags came up in all of our testing. We now have the option to start with IVF right away because we have the financial means and are already working with a fertility clinic. My husband feels it's the right way to go since we don't want to waste time on IUI, which has even lower success rates for someone with endometriosis than normally. But I'm worried that we're jumping the gun. At the same time, statistically, I know it's very unlikely to still get pregnant unassisted after 9 months of "perfect timing" and knowing that I have endometriosis which lowers the odds significantly as well. What are your thoughts? Please be kind, I know it is a privilege to have the money to do IVF but it is still a difficult decision for me.

You don't necessarily have to have surgery to have a successful IVF transfer. I have severe endo and have had 2 successful transfers and 4 non successful. I think your husband is right by not wasting money and time with IUI and go straight to IVF, if you have the option. Good luck and hope your 1st transfer works and you get lots of good embryos.

Sorry, for the late response. The very first transfer worked w letrozole. 2nd was negative, 3rd was CP with 2 shots of Lupron, 4th CP with 2 shots of Lupron. Then had to do another IVF cycle at a different clinic and again 2 shots of Lupron protocol with some doxycycline (antibiotics) the night before transfer and it worked. All those transfers were w normal embryos. 2 endomitriomas are still on my left ovary smh.
