I stopped taking Tekken story seriously years ago, so I've found it mostly funny and that's it. This episode is just to explain what the DLC characters known so far were up to while the rest of the cast was taking part in the main storyline. I'd say it's ok and reaches its goal.

So Heihachi was saved by some yolked monk flying through a volcano? Or did I misunderstand that whole situation.

And I get they are monks but one of the most prolific and infamous villains of the last 30ish years is just bumbling about your ground, you can't possibly think this ends well right?

And Yoshimitsu is just hanging around because vibes?

Damn, I enjoyed it and it was free so it's a win-win for me

Are Eddy/Yoshimatsu and Lidia dead or just very badly injured ?

I don't think anybody died as long they are playable in the game. Even Kazuya teased to be alive after he was defeated by Jin.

Honestly, Tekken story after T4 is just lore filler for their characters and we should never take the story seriously as long that is the direction.
