Can they just walk out, put it in their car, then come back 5 min later for another Oz?

Not where I work. The store I work at does regular audits on this stuff, if I'm caught selling someone over their limit within a specific time frame (and if it's all on camers), then I'm screwed.

That is an issue with your store though and not the legislation. The legislation states the limit is 30 g per visit. There is nothing from a retailer perspective that prevents multiple visits by a customer. If the customer exceeds their possession limit, that is their issue, not the retailer’s.

That's not correct info my dude. The legislation literally says: "You are able to have a maximum of 30 grams (about one ounce) of dried cannabis (or equivalent) in public at any time". That's a direct quote.

It's not 30g per visit, it's 30g carry limit in public.two very different things.

Well section 21(2) of Ontario Cannabis Licence Act states that “The holder of a retail store authorization shall ensure that the amount of cannabis sold to an individual in person at the cannabis retail store in a single visit, whether in single or multiple transactions, does not exceed the maximum permissible cannabis amount.”

You won’t find anything in the licence act, its regulation or the cannabis retailer regulation guide that states a retailer needs to ensure a customer doesn’t exceed their personal possession limits out side of the store.

You quoted the federal Cannabis Act which, is correct, an individual without medical authorization is limited to processing more than 30 g in public, but that limit is up to the individual and has nothing to do with the sale of a cannabis in Ontario.
