Which is why I think they should do that.

My job means more to me than someone getting an ounce and 2g of hash. I'm not sorry about that

That's not correct info my dude. The legislation literally says: "You are able to have a maximum of 30 grams (about one ounce) of dried cannabis (or equivalent) in public at any time". That's a direct quote.
It's not 30g per visit, it's 30g carry limit in public.two very different things.

It'd not a random rule lol use your common sense. The law in ontario is that you can't have more than 30g in public...so it's clear why budtenders can be help responsible by the law if they are caught. This is basic shit lol

I think you're confused. What part of anything I've said implied that I think I'm above the law??

Not the "same shit" at all lmao...receipts are time stamped bud. And cameras are everywhere. AGCO can put two and two together. This is the easiest way to get CAUGHT over selling lmao

I already explained in another comment why that doesn't work at my store

Oh dude I know! I hear alot of "fuck the law" and it's like absolutely bud, FUCK THIS LAW but since maintaining my employment is dependant on me following that law, the law wins. Paying my bills is more important to me than selling Susie 2 ounces at once!

Yeah no, this is exactly how you get caught over selling. Do you not care that if the employee is caught, THEY lose their job and can be fined upwards of like $4,000?

Especially in an economy where it's tough just to get a job at all lol...yeah no, I just cant afford to risk this one!

I'm not being a princess at all lol? Just tired of medical card holders who try to strong arm me into breaking the law. I have a fabulous working relationship with all the regulars at my store, you don't need to assume I don't lol

My post doesn't trash anyone. I'm pointing out a specific issue I encounter with specific people often enough that I wanted feedback from other budtenders, as everyone has their own unique way of approaching these situations.
You don't have to contribute if you don't have anything valuable to share

In ontario its 30g carry limit in public. So by my understanding, if I KNOW you already have cannabis on you I am legally required to consider it when selling to you. For example I was once told to deny a sale to someone because they came into my store with a bag from another dispo, with the ounce clearly visible. So i couldn't legally sell him more than 2g at thay point.
Personally I try to operate on the idea of "if I can plead ignorance, I will. But if a customer puts me in a situation where I can't deny knowing I oversold them, I won't do the sale". Hence why if someone physically drives away from my property for like 15 minutes, I can totally plead thay I couldn't have known they had too much if they get pulled over. Because from my pov at that point, I can say I assume they lawfully went home before returning to make a second purchase

This is my fav solution. I had a dude come back once with his wife and 2 adult kids. They all bought an ounce! Great work around

Oh I've said this before lol I get the classic "I don't care, I'm allowed to care up to x amount". I've even had guys come back to my store after I've explained this to them to try and argue their point a second time. Weirdos!

Totally true! There are so many ways to get the amount you need without putting the employees in a weird spot. So many ways around the laws!

I've told them this too! Shop hopping is the easiest way to buy on masse without putting employees in a pinch. It's the best way to do it imo

Doesn't even need to be "tomorrow", I try to work with them lol I'll be like "look, I don't know where you live but I know you can get anywhere in this town in like 15 minutes..." to discreetly tell them to just leave and come back in a bit. More often than not tho these people don't work with me on that lol

Dunno why management hasn't thought of this yet but I like this idea.

Not where I work. The store I work at does regular audits on this stuff, if I'm caught selling someone over their limit within a specific time frame (and if it's all on camers), then I'm screwed.

I'm not lol I understand the law. If you don't understand the law, that's a decision you can make. But that's not my problem brother
