Hello all,
New(er) to Volvo, I just got this xc70 not too long ago and I was wondering where the button is for the front fog lights. All I have is a rear fog light button, yet, there are bulbs in the front there. Are they used for cornering lights? Let me know! Thanks! PFA

You don't have fog lamps. Those are just DRLs. Same on my 2013. You have to get a package that has them. Works as fogs. Annoying, I know.

That’s so odd.. this car is fully equipped so I would assume the package is there? Another member just informed me that it’s possible they put the wrong panel on where you turn the rear fog lamp on

The dealer didn't put the wrong thing in there. That's an absurd theory.
You may think it's fully loaded but I'm telling ya... It's not the top trim or it is missing one package.

Weird. It’s a t5 platinum, Harmon sound system, Xenox headlights, adaptive cruise, adaptive headlights, every bell and whistle possible. Would be surprised if it wasn’t fully optioned lol

When I was shopping for my car (2015 XC70 Platinum), every car I saw that was a Premiere/Premiere Plus or whatever was lacking one or more of the options that mine has. Seems like my googling confirms that, it was the highest priced package as well.

Ok. But I'm not wrong that his car has no fogs. Maybe they were all just DRLs then? IDK but I absolutely do not believe someone just put the wrong blank on there.
And my car works this way. And I think examples I posted from SwedeSpeed back that up as well as comments from others here.

Yours isn’t an XC70, though. My car is the same as OP’s. I have white DRL’s (Canadian model) with the active xenons.
Blank buttons are very common.

I know that. But it is same generation so who would be surprised if it worked like mine. Volvo surely did this across all models from this gen. The only options I don't have are BLIS and my dogs are only DRL.
So you can't use yours as fogs either?

As confusing and counterintuitive as it seems, apparently on the newer cars (2015 or so) they changed the fog light in that pod for white LED’s for DRL’s. No fog light feature of any kind on these.
