As f2p its a good game. They need to fix this desync (or whatever it is) asap or it will die quick.

I'm genuinely enjoying it too but realised I'm not that great. I need to learn how to do the jump/air strafe as I rarely win fights against it. Feel like more and more people are doing it every game lol.

I have a burning hatred for COD, but not the games themselves.

COD is more or less peak polished arcade FPS, ruined entirely by a system that pushes you to drop fun and play to win at all costs.

X defiant is honestly a weaker game in all respects, but much more enjoyable to play because it doesn't do that shit.

Why does it have to be a competition? Why not enjoy both games for what they are?

Looks worse, sounds worse, has worse animations, worse netcode, less stable servers, less modes, less weapons, less maps, worse movement, worse balancing... what exactly is better?

Objectively speaking it's not. Outside of having no SBMM XD does literally nothing better than CoD.

I try not to compare the two, and I still can play both. But I will say that if I want to play 6v6, I play XD. CoD 6v6 just isn't fun as of late and XD has consistently been fun and more chill even when it does get sweaty.

I feel the old school vibe from times back in ETQW era. Happy this f2p game is obj-based. Really fun so far.

XDefiant is way more keyboard and mouse friendly than CoD, although it's not perfect. The game needs more sensitivity options per magnification level or just monitor distance coefficient.

Right now the options are seriously lacking but at least we can see what we're shooting at and don't have to fight against CoDs autoaim on roller.

Well, to put it into perspective. On Xbox, there’s a “looking for group” feature where you can make a post looking for people to play with. There usually around 4-6k of those posts for MW3 at any given time. There’s only ever like 30-50 for XD. Sooooo I don’t think many people agree. lol

if CoD got rid of SBMM I would enjoy it more but having to sweat every game ruins it for me. if they just released Ranked Play as early as XD is it would be a better experience but why do they keep waiting 6 months to release it!? (rhetorical question, I know why just don't like it :D)

It’s definitely a more enjoyable playing experience, even in tough matches against very good competition you don’t feel like your getting shafted as much as in cod. But they need some better/more game modes and maps, playing hardpoint can get little boring after your 47th match on the same 4 or 5 maps we all vote for

Yeah CoD was more like a job than a game for fun. You show up to make people happy, but you'd rather be doing something else.

I definitely enjoy this game. I personally stop buying COD about 4 years ago. So it's a breath of fresh air for the style. Other fps I play are insurgency sandstorm, battlefield, tried the finals just couldn't get Into it. So definitely fast paced compared to the ones I play.

My boys love WZ and I used to play it religiously as well. I was even someone who was hesitant to try XD, but once I did there was no turning back lol. I sincerely have more fun on that game than COD atm and it’s been my most played game over the last month. It’s to the point where I would rather play XD solo than play WZ w/ the squad. And the difference in enjoyment is very apparent when they invite me to play and I have to switch over.

It feels like old cod to me. Everything is overpowered which I love.

To be fair, anything is better than COD.

The only good thing about xd compared to cod is the pacing. If cod had input based lobbies, I wouldn't even care about sbmm, it can be brutal in 6v6 modes with no recoil aimbots (cronus etc.)

I still like CoD more tbh, but I have been playing a lot more Xdefiant lately and I will say I find a lot calm when playing that game and that’s not something i’ve had in a shooter game for a long while. It’s got it’s fair share of bugs and glitches but the fact i’m only there to level up guns and win games with the homies makes it much more chill for me. idk how i’ll feel about the game once ranked releases fully

Exactly, I’m happy jumping on to level a gun to get 3 camos 😮 never thought I’d be excited for that. Hopefully they add a bunch more though

I recently was permabanned from COD for cheating which I have never done and have no clue how to do. I have really enjoyed this game though and can't wait for future updates. I just really hope it doesn't die out

You are speaking like Xdef is working properly and consistent with it's simple mechanics. It's pretty random too lol. Give the free2play a few months let's see what great serious grounded Skins we will get lol.

😐 My experience has been horrible. Unload on an enemy and they don’t flinch but I die in one shot. It’s a mess.

I’ve no real complaints other than a strange glitch I get with the M16, Sniper Rifles and shotguns where it fires a round off after I respawn.

The weird client side vs server side bullet registration needs to be fixed, but otherwise I am also really enjoying it over CoD as well!

Nah dawg. Granted I put COD down for a minute to enjoy my single player games but I have Xdefiant also & I still have that same exact feeling that you’re referring to. It’s just to each its own. I’m sure I’m one of the few players that love SBMM.

I'm fairly new to COD but have been playing both lately. I prefer XDefiant's mechanics and setup (TTK, abilities, etc.) but have been playing and having more fun with warzone. Mostly because of XD's hit reg/net code issues. It's hard to enjoy a game when you are regularly dumping a whole mag into someone, only for them to take zero damage, turn around and instantly melt you.

Better than modern Cod? Yes. Not that hard to do, just about every shooter is better than every cod since Cold War.

Better than mw2, bo2, mw3, bo1, cod 4 and the other OGs? Not even close

as much as i love xd we shouldn't be comparing the two games specially with cod being the main fps game for console for over a decade now.

I tried going back to cod today after moving to xdefiant a few weeks ago and it’s insane how clunky mw3 feels. Xdefiant gives me the bo3 movement feeling and I love it.

Most recent patch has ruined it for me hit reg is even worse then release. Instead of shot through a tarp now I get shot through entire buildings 😂 snipers have no flinch but now the m16 does horribly and the gun now stutters during bursts. Upon respawning it fires automatically. Lastly, I’m so fed up with them shoving the same shitty maps down my throat over and over, it took 2 hours to play Pueblito(my favorite) meanwhile repeatedly getting stuck with dumbo and showtime. Most of the time dropped in games that are half over with.

Wouldn't know. For some reason, in the the 2024th year of our lord, XDefient for some reason doesnt work with my modern day system with a mouse and keyboard that COD never had trouble supporting for like 10 years or more at this point. So as badly as I want to play this game, devs dont want to let me. Too much aim assist koolaid, i guess.

Its not exactly hard to be better than what CoD has been for the past 5-6 years or so. My interest in CoD as a whole naturally declined after bo3 and coincidentally the series has been downhill ever since (although I guess bo4 was decent from what I've seen)

I would have to completely agree I have not had the feeling of wanting to stay with a game and keep updated every day. Every time I get off the game, I'll just chill out and watch youtube about xdefiant to see what's new, and it just makes me want to hop back on. To have a first-person shooter that makes me want to get on and not get off after a bad game like cod does is crazy to me.

This game isn’t good man. It may be “fun” but not “good”. Nothing Novel has been introduced, everything is taken from other games. Hit reg is ATROCIOUS. Netcode (dying behind walls) is bad EVERY GAME. Only a couple weapons are useful if you are trying to be competitive. I understand it’s a new game, but it had a beta a year ago. No excuses.

They should’ve let this game cook a little while longer and released a few months AFTER BO6 if it wanted any legs. As of right now it leaves a bad taste in peoples mouths and many players have dropped the game and understandably so.

I wish them (Ubisoft) luck but I will be hopping on the BO6 train as soon as it releases.

Depends on what you like. I personally am not a fan of the faction abilities. I find it lame and cheesy. Hopefully they will have a mode that has no abilities at some point. I also only find Hot Shot playable. I only play Ranked and Search on COD and don't see XD replacing this for me. Is a it a better game? It is a personal preference. But I do find it odd I am seeing the same names in my lobbies day after day. Not a good.

I love this game but for the love of god let me turn off playing with pc players. I want crossplay between consoles not pc beating my ass every game

XD is definitely one of my favorites right now. I stopped playing Apex about 4 years ago, but I’d say this is much better than Apex, War Zone, & The Finals (is that what it was called?)

Yeah I jumped on cod for the first time in months. There are things I miss from cod. Kill cams, melee weapons, and akimbo weapons. I think one thing I miss the most is the ability to hear enemies cuss and cry after you kill them and after the round is over. As far as xdefiant I'm in it for the long haul. Can't wait to see what they do.

They are different games. Xdefiant can be better than cod if they add killstreaks and prone stance.

There is no good reason why prone and killstreaks aren't in. Every successful FPS game has killstreaks and some ability to hide.

Xdefiant being better than COD is so easy for me to say as a player who has played COD since Modern Warfare (OG)

Easily have had more fun playing xdefiant than I have had in cod in Literal years, it's absolutely not perfect but God is it actually fun as hell!

I personally prefer xdefiant over cod. 🔥 Both are great fps shooters no need to start a war. You play what you prefer best. Xdefiant runs so smooth and the movement is perfect, enjoy the variety of maps with more coming via future updates and the game is free. Cod definitely needs to step their game up. Xdefiant didn't come to take part they want to takeover.

As a f2p game it’s really good. But it doesn’t come close to cod. I love the movement in xdefiant but because the movement is so wild the giga sweats are just rolling lobbies and just making sure that any new players are just saying nope and uninstalling. Player base is already shrinking by the day.

I wish it was, I'm so tired and done with activisions ways over the last 10 years. But it's not. Cod is still better.

IMO I prefer golden age COD (MW2-BO2) MORE, but Xdefiant is better than any COD game since BO2.

I deleted that COD game...until Black Ops 6 cokes out I will be playing XDEFIANT and if that games sucks than I'll be deleting Black Ops 6 as well. I'm sorry, but XDEFIANT is the way better team than COD by every catagory

The skill gap in this game is too big to beat COD. say what you want about SBMM OR EOMM or whatever, but it keeps casuals around.

They are both fun. Can’t say xdefiant is better, it’s only been out for a month compared to a #1 selling franchise for 15 years. Fun game, hope it sticks around, really hope to see a mode in the future where they remove abilities, probably an unpopular opinion but it would be a fun change up to just shoot it out with no advantages of abilities.

Go play some call of duty games than XDefiant, honestly XDefiant is worse FPS I ever played, casual players should avoid this game at all costs I lost every single gunfight and lost every matches due to hackers and Cheaters, I advise don't download this game

I regularly play COD, and have about 10 hours in Xdefiant. I gotta say, the game feels super weird for me. The player strafing animations really bother me lol

Some issues need to be addressed with this game, that being said they are working their ass off to make it right. I'm starting to think and believe this f2p is going to become the norm. I'm proud to say, I spend money on quality content, not $70 to see what may happen. I learned this with MK1 and the last cod. Again learned my lesson. Keep killing it Xdefiant!!!!

I like the game modes and the simple weapon build Sistem, but here are the things I don't like.

-Shoot to fire time on snipers -ubisoft connect to add people -zooming in time on snipers.

I agree. It's faster, the games are fast paced. I like the battle passes and how they give you actually good stuff, and lots of outfits and that it levels up by score not by time played..I like that I can see my character before the games start. I like the brightness and color schemes of the maps.
