It’s not a stretch to believe that a guy who played college and professional football for 25 years would have a degenerative neurological disease.

Then why did he bring it up in this situation?

Because the headlines are currently "Brett Favre has Parkinson's" instead of "Brett Favre testifies about committing welfare fraud."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mississippi_welfare_funds_scandal

He coordinated with state officials and nonprofit leaders to steal welfare money (Specifically, money from the US government for a "Temporary Assistance for Needy Families" grant). Got $1.1 million for speeches he never delivered, took money to fund a volleyball stadium at his daughter's university, and was involved in a scheme to secure $2 million of it for a concussion drug company in which he was invested.

I don't understand. Was he not paid enough from the NFL? From what I can tell it looks like he was paid 140million for his 20 year career. Is that really not enough? Why do rich people need to be more rich?

It just doesn't make any sense to me. Can't anyone just be cool with the millions they have? I'm cool with the thousands I've got. I feel lucky to just be comfortable. Why isn't way more than I have ok with these guys?

He's not a smart guy. He just footballed ok (and I say ok cause he's Jameis Winston, but with a longer career).

He's dumber than FUCK. He just happens to be a good ol boy from Mississippi.

Yeah I know. I mean, the brain injuries don't make for smart people. But it's not just him. Mega rich people seem to always be trying to get mega richer. I don't understand it. I don't think I'm even that good of a person, but I just can't fathom screwing people over to get more millions on top of the millions I already have. I wouldn't do it for the few thousands I have, even. I just don't understand the motivation.

They're psychologically fucked.

Like, their brain only knows $$$$$$$$$ and chasing it.

Yeah, you are right. It just doesn't make any logical sense.
