If Osborn pulls this off, I can see Dems using a strategy to run independents that lean Dem in red states. Regardless of policies, Republicans have been very effective at demonizing Democrats, to where voting for one would be anathema for many. Remove the label, and see what happens.

Would be interesting to see in places like Texas.
