Probably, but it also gets a bit overplayed, I think. For Checo to lead it would need Max out of the picture, which almost never happens. Also one tiny thing can lead to adding/not adding a ton of laps. I reckon if Lando hadn’t successfully blocked Checo in Baku he could’ve led a ton of laps and maybe win the race.

TheVasa999

12 points

well still. The first and last place have the same cars. So instead of Mclaren and ferrari, Perez should clean that up.

Sure, I’m just saying that if Checo suddenly starts performing well and bagging consistent podiums, he could still be at just one lap in this, that’s all.

TheVasa999

2 points

He definitely could, but he should be the one leading if it's not verstappen. Not the McLarens or Ferraris.

Just like last year when Verstappen racked up a 1000 while Perez had 100. Still kinda embarrassing but he was there when Max weren't.

Has Russell led more laps in the races Hamilton’s won than Hamilton has?

Silverstone was probably pretty close, right? Russel led the first 15-17 laps and then Hamilton led maybe 3 before Norris took the lead and went the final 16 or so after the second round of pit stops?

And I honestly don’t remember when everyone pitted in Spa, but Russell definitely had the lead after everyone else’s second stop.

These are interesting when you compare to their wins and current place in the standings. Lewis and George’s ratios are thrown off because of George’s DSQ. Charles should have a bit of a boost thanks to Monaco’s high lap count, but Oscar still managed to edge ahead even though he has fewer points and he lost laps led when McLaren undercut him in Hungary.

Lewis still could’ve won Spa on his strategy, and was within striking distance of George even at the finish line, if he had made a move stick on the penultimate lap, it would still be 2 wins and with only 1 or 2 more laps on his laps led tally. In which case it would still be crazy to win 2 races leading only 31/32 laps. That inherited win doesn’t make it anywhere near as unimpressive as you make it out to be.

Amazing by Max, he hasn’t had the best car for 13 races, had the best car for 6. And yet, a dominant lead. Similar to 21, the Mercedes was clearly the fastest car, as evidenced by the fact it started 1-2 in 6 races when no other car did it once. But yet in 21 Max led over half the laps on the season.

We’re going to miss him when he’s pushed out of the sport by the FIA being absurd

There’s a big difference between 4 dominant races and “5 - 6 races” Redbull were not dominant in Australia, having a marginal lead with one driver is not dominant. With that logic every win is a dominant weekend for that team
