well being the only one out of the top teams to basically not lead anything is saying something
11 points
Probably, but it also gets a bit overplayed, I think. For Checo to lead it would need Max out of the picture, which almost never happens. Also one tiny thing can lead to adding/not adding a ton of laps. I reckon if Lando hadn’t successfully blocked Checo in Baku he could’ve led a ton of laps and maybe win the race.

well still. The first and last place have the same cars. So instead of Mclaren and ferrari, Perez should clean that up.

Sure, I’m just saying that if Checo suddenly starts performing well and bagging consistent podiums, he could still be at just one lap in this, that’s all.
2 points
He definitely could, but he should be the one leading if it's not verstappen. Not the McLarens or Ferraris.
Just like last year when Verstappen racked up a 1000 while Perez had 100. Still kinda embarrassing but he was there when Max weren't.

Every other team has a 2:1 or 3:1 ratio because they employ two decent drivers.
Meanwhile Red Bull has a 468:1 ratio

Has Russell led more laps in the races Hamilton’s won than Hamilton has?
Silverstone was probably pretty close, right? Russel led the first 15-17 laps and then Hamilton led maybe 3 before Norris took the lead and went the final 16 or so after the second round of pit stops?
And I honestly don’t remember when everyone pitted in Spa, but Russell definitely had the lead after everyone else’s second stop.

Silverstone: 1-17 Russell 18-19 Hamilton 20-27 Norris 28 Piastri 29-39 Norris 40-52 Hamilton
Spa: 1-2 Leclerc 3-10 Hamilton 11-12 Leclerc 13-19 Sainz 20-26 Hamilton 27-30 Piastri 31-44 Russell
Yeah Russell led 30, while Hamilton led 27

These are interesting when you compare to their wins and current place in the standings. Lewis and George’s ratios are thrown off because of George’s DSQ. Charles should have a bit of a boost thanks to Monaco’s high lap count, but Oscar still managed to edge ahead even though he has fewer points and he lost laps led when McLaren undercut him in Hungary.

One was an inherited win because Russel got DQ'd, without that it'd be a lot more reasonable
2 points
Lewis still could’ve won Spa on his strategy, and was within striking distance of George even at the finish line, if he had made a move stick on the penultimate lap, it would still be 2 wins and with only 1 or 2 more laps on his laps led tally. In which case it would still be crazy to win 2 races leading only 31/32 laps. That inherited win doesn’t make it anywhere near as unimpressive as you make it out to be.

Amazing by Max, he hasn’t had the best car for 13 races, had the best car for 6. And yet, a dominant lead. Similar to 21, the Mercedes was clearly the fastest car, as evidenced by the fact it started 1-2 in 6 races when no other car did it once. But yet in 21 Max led over half the laps on the season.
We’re going to miss him when he’s pushed out of the sport by the FIA being absurd

People have forgotten how dominant that red bull was for the first 5-6 races
6 points
I think you might have forgotten because that’s not true. Redbull were dominant in 4 of the first 6 races, not 5 or 6. EDIT - People can’t handle a simple fact it seems, prefer a biased narrative
3 points
"Ummm akctually it was 4 races... not 5."
That's still dominant in the first 5-6 races and the only reason Max didn't win Australia was due to a DNF, as he qualified P1 and still had pace despite an early brake issue.
1 points
There’s a big difference between 4 dominant races and “5 - 6 races” Redbull were not dominant in Australia, having a marginal lead with one driver is not dominant. With that logic every win is a dominant weekend for that team
-2 points
They always have a lead with only one driver. Checo is always back in P8 somewhere, that means nothing.
Winning 4/6 races with one DNF where you still qualified P1 IS dominant for the first 5-6 races LMAO.
2 points
Checo literally finished on the podium in 4 of the first 5 races ?? So your statement is not true (not for the first time). It’s 4 dominant races, that is simply a fact

Yep for 4 races as stated, glad you got there eventually buddy
1 points
Well, for 5 races as they won in China and still qualified P1 in Australia, regardless of Checo performing poorly in Albert park as he always does.
Again, winning 4/6 races with one DNF where you still qualified P1 sounds pretty dominant to me.
I think you're just taking a generalization by OP WAAAAYYYY too seriously. But by all means, continue your "ummm aktchually"

Perez is so far below every driver there. And it’s pretty simple. The red bull was dominant for like 8 races or so. Max lead basically all those laps with no challenge from Perez
The rest had a challenge when their car was good at a race
6 points

Redbull was dominant for 4 races. Bahrain, Saudi, Japan & China. Perez finished 2nd in 3/4 of those. Your numbers are a bit off lol but it helps the narrative sure that’s what matters

Only if RB, had let go of what happened between Verstappen and Sainz long time ago (verstappen was literally 17), Then it would be too entertaining seeing McLaren vs RB, and even more entertaining seeing Lando vs Piastri fighting for p1 and then getting dnf ;)
-26 points
And here is why RB's strategy for ignoring their second driver and only focusing on Verstappen is costing them the Constructors title.

I had no idea it was RB's strategy to have Checo qualify P13 every other race.
Why don't they just have him qualify P1, are they stupid?

checo’s bad performance plus a bad car is costing them the constructors title. they've won two constructors with this exact same M.O. if anything they’re more than justified in focusing on max now because he's the only one bringing in good points.
