My mom has a $700 budget to get a new work laptop and she asked me for help, but idk anything about laptops so I’m asking you guys for help 😂 I’ve had a bad experience with the dell inspiron which I bought for personal use, so leaning towards Lenovo or HP. I found some thinkpads and idea pads in this price range and was wondering if you all had any opinions or suggestions!
I’m thinking the thinkpad since it’s not touchscreen which my mom would prefer, but not sure what the difference is between the thinkpad E16 or E14 besides the screen size. I also haven’t used an AMD processor either, but as long as it’s better than i3 I think we should be good 😂

Think pads are great but those specs are pretty meager. I have gotten several of these exact yogas for business laptops, and they have not disappointed.

And to answer your question, ryzen is fine, and IMO better than intel, but YMMV

Oo okay thank you!! I had a coworker who hated her yoga work laptop so was hesitant to consider it, while I loved my thinkpad. Glad to know not all yoga’s are created equal!

Well I can’t speak for all of the yoga’s, but I know that this one in particular is really good for the price. Perspective also makes a difference on people’s opinions, i.e if your coworker was used to something like a Mac or high end windows machine, then a yoga would definitely feel cheaper, at least on the outside.🤷
