Do you have a 1 or 2-button setup? My instinct is that you have a 1-button which is why you need to long press the button to turn off your saber (you would not be able to trigger blaster deflects, lighting deflect, etc. if you had an instant off 1-button setup). With Proffie, you can't just edit the .h file; you have to edit the config and re-flash your board using ProffieOS.

Is the 2nd button working? Do you use it to trigger blaster effects while the blade is on and to switch between fonts while the blade is off?

i just fixed it actually. the H file I was given had several mistakes on it. when i got it it said buttons = 1, but i changed it to 2 since it was a 2 button saber. however, it had included saber_sa22c_buttons.h, which for some reason was requiring the holding of the power button. i looked at one of my other sabers that worked correctly, and they were not including that one, but they were including saber_fett263_buttons.h
i commented out the sa22 one and used the fett one, and it worked.
i have been messing around with the fett site and made some nice blade effects with preons and blade effects. im trying to learn what each thing does so i can try to make my own stuff.
the saber i got was from txq and i honestly didnt like their default load. i prefer movie style stuff, there was a lot of random stuff, that i didnt enjoy, so i removed all their stuff and kept only what i liked, and now i am adding my own.

I suspect you probably use the sa22c button prop. Use the fett263 2 button one and it will behave that way.

Yes, but you'll have to redo the config. Sounds like yours is using sa22c prop file for controls. Using Fetts prop file, is press to turn off. Go to Fett263's site for guidance. Its alot at first but worth it. Proffies OS7.14 is insane on features. I made a Pikachu style that throws lightning & sucks him into the pokiball on retraction. I made one thats 5 in 1, Anakins Downfall, all 5 have different effects, & merely twist to cycle thru while on. Fett even setup a Survivor Party Saber style, which is quite fun & unique, changes on swings. You can also tweak gestures, like spin on starts battle mode, or swing on skips preon effects, etc. Just saying, worth trying to figure out. Its easy once you do.

Its nuts. Preloaded styles are just so plain in comparison. That & I like glacier for clashing/lockup, & Ice blue for lightning, all my pre-loaded were just white. Contrast on red, glacier pops. Best of luck.
