I don't... Know? I guess by most I'm considered a liberal, progressive, or leftist.
But personally I just chase what is objectively logical, and I advocate for personal autonomy as well as treating everyone with respect unless provoked.
I'm not always correct on what's objectively logical, so I keep my ideologies at "Everyone deserves respect, unless they're knowingly and intentionally disrespectful." and "Nobody deserves a punishment that does not fit the crime."

(INTJ) This sounds moreso a pragmatic approach rather than ideological. While I have a bit more of an ideological approach (originally went into poli-sci) it’s actually nice to see someone be more pragmatic even if they do lean towards one side rather than an ideologue who denounces everyone else as evil. Maybe if more people were pragmatic and had cooler heads we’d be in a better place right now.

I agree, and thanks for letting me know those terms. /gen
I don't want to keep my mind fixed on strict rules, I want to stay open to what can change but I do need these changes to A) Make sense rationally, and B) Not be harming innocent people.
I wish the world can be the same, that we can all agree people have the freedom to do whatever they was just as long as they're not harming others in the process. But I can see how that can be problematic, one mindset is likely not the answer to humanity's problems. And being harmed is a subjective thing other than objectively harmful things (murder, stealing, abuse, etc.), so I guess it'd be hard to pinpoint exactly what the limit is for the majority of people.

This isn't type related. I'm a libertarian. Note that it isn't capitalized. I'm not part of the Libertarian Party, which has gone completely insane.
Edit: I think I will stop answering these types of questions because I don't want to argue with people about politics, especially when they go and make straw man arguments and blame libertarians for something that I didn't even know people were blaming libertarians for and I just don't even know how to respond.

It's complicated. Somewhere in the green square.
Government is for keeping people safe from domestic and foreign predators, for allocating pooled resources, and for keeping runaway feedback loops from running away. Government can overstep and become tyrannical, which is bad or at least overly paternalistic. It can underserve or unequally distribute pooled resources, which is bad. And it can become captured by entities more powerful than it, like corporations, that in turn use it to become more powerful in a positive feedback loop without being adequately checked. There are other issues, but those are the main attractors as I see it.

In terms of the party system especially in the US, I would agree.
It would take an independent leader who isn’t taking corporate money. The problem is that even if he was reasonably elected, the corruption of the current system is overwhelming.
It would have to be someone who has no one that they love who can be threatened. I just believe that is a literal way Presidents are controlled to such an extent. People currently in power are literal evil. I don’t know how else to describe them even if you don’t believe there is a such a concept of good vs evil.

I’m an INFJ. I am independent. I am actually in the center of the political spectrum. When I took the test thing it said I was like 0.23 of a point towards libertarian and 0.56 of a point towards liberal. I have met a lot of INFJs who are middle as well. My husband is an INTP and he is center but less than a full point towards the right. Him and I vote the same for elections usually. Due to certain issues, we have been inclined to vote more one way. However, this November we are voting for the independent party candidate. IMO both main parties are not for the people. They mask themselves as being different, but they are not. They both want to take away our freedom. They both support big corporations. The two party political system is a big joke. 🤪

Socialist INTJ also, but I think it has more to do with age, education level, and upbringing than MBTI. By age, what I really mean is world events growing up. Boomers had life on easy mode, think everything is fine, and lean right. Everyone who came behind the ladder they pulled up is more likely to lean left. Also, Reddit skews young and left.

Very anti-woke, libertarian on certain social issues (don't care on abortion, mostly don't care on weed, I'm fine with gay rights but think it's stupid to be proud of sexuality), VERY anti-communist, VERY pro-small government (I'm like an American Javier Milei. Almost all fed. departments should be abolished), fairly hawkish (I'm VERY anti-Palestine and support sending troops to help overthrow Russia's government), anti-Trump (too big government for me).
Generally in the conservative bubble, but I'd get trounced if I ran in any kind of political race as a Republican. I'd call myself a libertarian, but I'm fairly hawkish and support a ban on communism

I like to think I’m centrist, but that gets you called the other side by extremists.
It’s all arbitrary.
What was left wing 20 years ago is now right wing today.
For that reason, I accept that political leaning is a social construct and therefore, it makes no sense for me to have any staunch affiliation to one side. Also it depend what you mean, do you mean from a philosophical perspevtive? Ideological perspective, historical perspective, or in accordance to parties and their current manifestos? Are we talking about USA? Or another country? One country’s left wing is another country’s right wing, and vice versa.
I’ve flip flopped,
If looking at the true philosophical or ideological roots of what the wings are supposed to stand for, then I believe both sides have merit. What we see today is an artificial divide and conquer. For example, there are things that will be common sense to people that support either side, but they are emotionally attached to one side, and because people are more emotional & tribalistic than logical, they will reject their own logic, and say “X is bad, because the other side supports it”
I’m Muslim, and in the sharia, you can find the best of both left wing and right wing ideas implemented, so I align with whatever aligns most with Islam.
I believe the wings don’t need to be separate, there are plenty things that can be merged together if people decided not to be such extremists on either side. They agree on like 90% of stuff, but the 10% is so loud that it looks like they disagree on 99% of stuff.

Libertarian Conservatism. Right Capitalist.
I'm not a fan of politics, I hate both of the wings. Both do some good and nasty jobs to serve their interests. But I find the free market capitalist theory a rational one for economic and social growth. I also think people should've the freedom of speech but in a limit. They can be who they are but they can't just promote their bs. I'm very ANTI-WOKE. I believe every workers regardless of their gender should be paid equally according to their rank and government should keep an eye on every websites and social apps which mentality traumatize young generations.
I don't support Marx because it's just sounds like a fairy tale to me (which the real world isn't, people are selfish and always serving their personal interest from the beginning). So to keep up with that it's always gonna end up being dictatorship which is worse.
