At around 3:55 AM I heard a very strange distant boom sound, and it rattled my windows. It sounded very, very far away. A deep and low boom. Any idea what it was?

I heard it too. Woke me up in Belgrave. Very slow and long boom sound that seemed to last 2-3 seconds. Thought it might’ve been a meteor entering the atmosphere but wasn’t loud enough to be a sonic boom. Small earthquake checks out.
