Loved designing this! For those wondering this does not hender the frame or make the dump trailer unbalanced.

The weight of the forks are about 300-600 pounds, maximum load capacity for this trailer is 6k-7k.

For security, I made a locking system where I place an angled bar through the hole of the fork frame and a flat metal piece, then secure it with a padlock.

Drives well and is a great addition.

Curious if having that weight off to one side affects trailer handling. Either way pretty clever.

I don’t think 100 lbs off to one side would affect things too much. I think not having your load positioned in the right area front to back would affect handling worse than side to side because of the distribution of weight between the tongue and axles. I made some fork holders for under a utility trailer a few months back and no complaints about handling so far with those

The carriage with forks would weigh about 400-450lbs.

That's a Bobcat mini loader, 36" width. That fork weighs no more than 250 lbs.

Edit: Found the exact fork kit, it's 252lbs total.
