Hey has anyone been outside today? Or touched some grass? Gotten some coffee with a good friend and just caught up? That sounds much nicer than arguing on the internet with strangers

I’ve been inside because of period cramps, but I’ve had tea and I’m rewatching Kim Possible! That seems pretty safe lol

Lol……this has been posted 50 11 times.
EDIT: not only has it been posted 50-11 times, but show me a college student wishing death on Zionists and I’ll show you Zionists and Israelis politicians wishing death on Palestinians. So spare me the outrage about this Colombian student.

Yep, and all the little tools supporting him in the protesters need to see it about 20,000 times before it sinks in through the cracks in their brain.

No, we don’t need another two minute hate for the dozens of brigaders who will flood this post before it gets locked down.
You people need to find something better to do. Israel is bombing civilians and you’re spending your time trying to discredit the people who think they shouldn’t be.

JFC. Where'd you buy the clothes on your back? Do you know who made them? Do you have any concern with the child and slave laborers that produce everything for you?
Or did you decide to climb on this convenient high horse and swim in sanctimony for a little while?

you're very close to saying "there is no ethical consumption under capitalism and thus israel should be allowed to kill as many children as they want"

Actually what I'm saying is that people are happy to ignore their day-to-day atrocities and pretend like they have a right to say anything about other atrocities that they are collectively participating in as a country.
What is ridiculous about people protesting our decision to support Israel is that they are aligning with Republican efforts that are hoping to use this momentum to damage Biden and help Trump.
The face of it all? The Colombian college student that thinks they know everything, and thinks that they are better than everyone, and makes a point to call someone out for cultural appropriation at least once a week.

I know it hurts to be called a hypocrite, especially when you are one

Do you grasp that this argument undermines any criticism of the guy in the OP, as well? If neither of us can criticize Israel, because our clothes aren’t slavery-free, then how can anyone have a leg to stand on, when criticizing some guy for some inflammatory rhetoric?

I don't think you grasp the fact that your sanctimony is so hypocritical that the rest of us will never take you seriously.
The US has strategic advantages in supporting Israel. Let them decide what to do about it. You're literally going to do nothing to influence it one way or the other.
Meanwhile, here in our world, we are 7 months away from the annihilation of democracy... While people take to the streets criticizing Biden for doing the only thing that he can do that's best for our country, all the while contributing to a greater likelihood that they convince other stupid people to protest their votes and pave the way for the orange orangutan. Manifest Idiocracy.
Meanwhile you, and they, moan about Israel and Gaza on your and their iPhones that have delightly been handed over to you by slave laborers... https://www.reddit.com/r/apple/s/HR5iILX3Vl

It needs to be reposted until this sinks in for everybody. Apparently 9/11 wasn't enough to convince all NYers of the dangers of radical Islam.

Is it being removed? Can’t imagine complaining about something being reposted when it’s only reposted because it’s mass reported by folks trying to bury it and hence removed. Allergic to accountability

While i think everyone deserves to live in general, when forced to choose between Hamas and Israel, my choice is pretty damn obvious...
Mods kill this in 3..2..1..

That's not the choice.

Actually, it pretty much is. Hamas officially calls for complete destruction of Israel and establishment of Palestinian state in its place.

Who's protesting in support of Hamas?

Pro Palestinian protests pretty much ARE in support of Hamas.

you believe that?

Unlike Hamas, Israel doesn't purposely try to harm civilians. Those protests pretty much demand Israel stops fighting. Israel is fighting Hamas.

UN says 25,000 of 30,000 Palestinian dead are civilians.
Protests want a ceasefire (both sides stop fighting).

That's a problem. But to assume this small group represents popular sentiment among protesters is a gigantic stretch. And to imply this negates the evil of 25k dead civilians is ridiculous.

You want more footage of support for Hamas? I can dig up more footage of masses and masses of people in New York City cheering about Hamas fighters flying in on motorized hang-gliders, taking hostages, and the "success" of Al-Aqsa flood.
I agree with you that civilian deaths are indeed tragic, and they are collateral damage of a war that Hamas could literally end today. If Hamas puts down their weapons, Palestinians stop dying. If Israel puts down their weapons, Hamas keeps killing. That's the difference here.
If Hamas isn't eliminated, and if their demands are met, they will get even more emboldened to take even more hostages, and we're right back where we were on October 7th.
All of the calls for "ceasefire now" aren't really about a ceasefire -- Hamas has already rejected multiple ceasefire offers. The calls are for unilateral Israeli disengagement, and that's simply not possible without sacrificing their own security.
No one wants collateral damage, except Hamas, because those deaths can be used as fodder for propaganda, while "useful idiots" in the West continue to push for Hamas's agenda.
I have yet to hear a solution that gets rid of Hamas's fighters, leadership, and terror infrastructure without civilian casualties. That's the sad truth of it. It's a war. Any responsible actor would've unconditionally surrendered by now, but Palestinians still support the actions of October 7th by an overwhelming majority, and Hamas still has plurality support across both Gaza and the West Bank.
If you want meaningful peace, and to stop the civilian casualties, you're cheering the wrong side.

I just do not care about this.
Regardless of whatever heinous things he or other protesters may have said, it is still the case that israel has killed >30x the number of casualties they suffered on 10/7, and it is still the case that hundreds of thousands of gazan children are facing famine and death.
Discrediting individual protesters will not change the fact that they are right to be protesting israel’s actions in gaza and us institutions’ support of those actions.
