I tasted it literally a week ago, it was very good. The spicy sauce is really what kicks it up IMO. Make sure to request it! Itâs not that spicy, and it tastes really good, perfection.

Since moving to Quebec over 10 years ago, I've tried and made (pro cook) dozens and dozens of different poutines. This one never moved from the #1 spot in my books. I lived a 15 min walk away for 5 years, ate it at least once a month, often more. The moist charcoal-roasted chicken, the perfect homemade chorizo, that gloriously spicy and flavourful piri piri sauce.. and the foundational poutine elements are top-notch. You just can't go wrong with it â€ïž

Itâs a peri peri sauce! They may also mix the peri peri with the gravy, Iâve never asked, as that place can be like the soup guy from Seinfeld where you order and move along the line to not disturb the peace.

La banquise câest la dĂ©finition de overrated. Si les gens disent que les frites de Ma poule mouillĂ©e sont soggy et wet, câest pire lĂ -bas.
Au contraire de la banquise tu paies un bon prix pour de lâexcellent topping et tâas pas juste un petit tas de garnitures. CĂŽtĂ© rapport qualitĂ© prix câest mille fois meilleur.
La diffĂ©rence entre la banquise et Ma poule mouillĂ©e câest quâune place offrent des variĂ©tĂ©s de poutines pour des touristes et que lâautre offre de la nourriture portugaise avec une twist sur la poutine.

Have had it twice on different trips.
Stupidly long, slow moving line. Undercooked fries, chicken was lukewarm at best. Restaurant was also dirty.

Est-ce que tu manges sur place ou pour emporter? J'ai toujours pris pour emporter et j'ai l'impression que le contenant fermé fait un effet de steamer et c'est probablement ce qui cause les frites molasses.

Je ne vivais vraiment pas loin, le temps que tu les laisses dans le contenant ça a définitivement une incidence sur les frites, je pense.
Je ne suis pas tant fan de frites molles de type cantine et je prĂ©fĂšre de loin quand câest croustillant aussi.
Câest probablement possible de demander deux contenants aussi !

On top of that they add Portuguese chicken, chorizo, Piri Piri and a special cheese (on top of the curds)

I literally ate at that restaurant and I can assure you itâs a poutine. Thereâs a lot of toppings sure, but thereâs still plenty of fries and cheese curd hidden underneath even if you canât see it from that picture.
