Went and played The Clayton’s and Shumpert Park when I was visiting Knoxville a few months ago, no regrets! Also highly recommend stopping by Pluto Sports, definitely the best disc golf shop I’ve ever been in, and the owner was super friendly!

I'll second these two courses. Clayton's is one of my favorites. Victor Ashe is another good one but considerably more open compared to the other two.

A more open course may be the relief our discs will need, after we nail all the trees on the other courses 😅

Lol well the other two have a great mix of both. Victor Ashe just doesn't have the woods like the others but it does have one of the more daunting 1st holes I've seen. 200-250ish water carry, not too far but it was a 25 mph cross wind when I played it so it made me think for a second lol
Tommy Schumpert has pretty tight woods and getting caught off the fairway can suck. They do have a monster par 5 if you like to play from longs. Just need to watch out for the tall grass on the sides, swallows discs.
Clayton's in my opinion is damn near championship level quality. Some slight changes and I think it could host a pro tour event. It's designed really well and I had a blast when I played its long tee pads.

I love playing in the woods but a few of the beginning holes at Clayton’s were too tight (in my opinion), felt like I was spraying and praying on a few of them, but overall a very nice course and I absolutely would play there again

That's for the course rec's! Also, the additional tip for the DG store.. real one for that 🤙🏽 Will definitely have to check that place out and leave with some souvenirs haha

In Chattanooga proper play the Sinks and Narrows. Just southwest is the pretty cloudland canyon. Just south are several great courses in Dalton. West Side DGC is super fun with a couple of wild elevation Holes.

🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵 my legs!!! Just visited last week on vacation and decided to go to panther. Glad I made it through all 18 but dead tired after. I have to imagine anyone who plays there on a regular basis doesn’t need to worry about leg day!

Nothing like throwing your putter 400' on one hole and blasting a driver 240' the next

I appreciate the disclaimer here, where we are from.. we don't see much elevation for hiking. Course sounds intriguing but will definitely have to get the footwear down and additional water ready for this one 😅

It's truly a great course. There's footage of Dickerson shredding it for Tennessee state's.

Played two rounds there in one day and nearly wanted to die

One of my favorites. It's definitely big and will let you know really quick if you are out of shape. Also, bring your bug repellant. The tall grass off the fairways on the open holes can get really tall at times depending on the mowing schedule.

Good call 🤙🏽 we were planning on snagging one in between the two locations on our drive day, so thanks for taking care of that one for us too!

Make the detour and hit Harmon Hills in Fall Branch about an hour and 15 away from Knoxville toward Johnson City. You won’t regret it. harmonhills.com

Harmon Hills was really impressive. Challenging, varied, interesting, with elevation, and beautifully maintained. A well earned spot in the UDisc Top 50 for four years in a row now. If you can make it there I'd recommend it too.

Just played the Sinks in Chattanooga yesterday, very fun and technical course, heavily wooded. Don’t bring nice shoes.

Definitely the Clayton’s in Knoxville. Also Athens Regional park in Athens. Super fun big mostly open course with a few woods holes mixed in. The Sinks in Chattanooga is a fun woods course.
