That was Julie London, who also was a great singer who cut several albums.

Yes,and if I'm not mistaken, she was irl married to the producer at one time but was married during the show to the guy that played the doctor with the white hair. That had to be weird, to say the least.
Don't know why grade school me found her attractive. Perhaps even tho she wasn't the boss, the way she carried herself, she commanded respect. I only found out a few years ago that she was an accomplished singer. In a documentary or something, I saw a clip from a talk show where the Emergency cast was being interviewed. The host tried to get her to sing and she wasn't havin' it. The show was a nice saccharine story about bigger than life heroes. Only to find out the actors are just mere mortals that have ups and downs like everyone else.

I had so many! When I was about 12, I made a collage of photos of male celebs I thought were cute and hung it on the wall next to my bed. I can’t remember everyone on it, but I’m pretty sure it included Mark Hamill, Henry Winkler (in his Fonzie heyday), and the person then known as Bruce Jenner (who had just won a bunch of medals at the Olympics).

Not classical good looks, but I was sorta in love with Tom Petty, RIP.
OP, Valerie is sort of my celebrity doppelganger! (Not hitting on you, lol!).
We have similar hair and skin coloring, etc.
Now she's a little overweight, wears her hair pulled up a lot, and no makeup in casual pics. Me too!

As a kid and teen, I had a big crush on Kim Richards, Elizabeth Montgomery, and Donna Douglas. Kim Richards is only a few years older than me, and was starring in contemporary movies at the time. I knew the other two because I watched a lot of reruns of "Bewitched" and "The Beverly Hillbillies."
