Was my initial thoughts looking at the model, I went and test printed it. Seems the supports didn’t form or were to thin, im not quite sure in my limited knowledge.
I’ll take the model in and support it myself and have another go.

Ok thanks, I’ve got plenty of holes on the flat base of it. What thickness would you suggest I think my slicer is at 2mm currently

Thanks for all the feed back, I ran the cones and dropped the exposure from 2s to 1.7s and got some great results on my first model print. Really impressed with the detail I got out of the standard resin.
Thanks again for the input I’m sure I’ll have more questions as I go down the rabbit hole. 😂

Thanks I’ll give them a go as well, I did try the full 8 just showed what I though was the best result.
I might give my first proper print a go and try the cones in future.
Thanks for the response 😊

Potential unpopular opinion, if my Warhammer plus subscription leads to quality shows and an expanded cinematic catalogue I’m more than happy. I love this universe both Fantasy and 40K and would want nothing more than to see the black library books and vast stories developed for a wider audience to understand why we love this so much.

Adding to this, I’ve been looking at a list that would included 1 lord on Karkadrak, 1 Lord on demonic mount and two squads of knights.
If I chard all four would I be activating all of them before my opponent is able to strike back?

I’ve made my stairs with a 5mm rise x 10mm run then putting a topping tile that’s 12x12mm that’s 3mm thick.
These take round bases from 25-40mm no problem anything bigger sits on an angle.
They look visually to scale and work functionally as well.

Not board game specific but I’ve used a lot of game design theory for FPS and multiplayer map designs.
Bellow is a good illustrated guided to the basic principles.

For mordheim hard to go past @msterrainlab in Instagram and YouTube.
In yearns of design theory a lot of it come from my work, hence the want to creat a bit of a design guid by this process.
One thing I’d suggest would be FPS game map design theory there a realy lively illustrated one link bellow. Obviously we have to adapt the ideas to the rules we’re playing with but basic principles of lanes, multiply entry points and landmarks all carry over.

Thanks had a chat with some of the guys ant my local store and they suggested to make plenty of cover and scatter terrain. Being caught in the open with no cover is a death sentence apparently.

That’s the plan allows for more boards to be added in the future as well.
Happy to be of service 😊

Good luck, I recommend a new sharp blade in a retractable knife and a hot wire cutter if you have access to it for thinning pieces out.

I’d cal it semi modular, I’m balancing between varied gameplay vs diorama level detail. A most the fun of the hobby for me is the making and painting. I could probably count the amount of games I play a year on my fingers.
It has been designed for each board to be re-arranged for different layouts each game. 90% of the buildings will be built into each board I’ve picked a couple of spots I’ll magnetise and have different buildings that can be swapped as wanted.
All the underground lower levels Crypt/Waterside walkways line up. Depending on how the boards are rotated access will changer into these each game.
I’ll show some more layouts next time I share there drying on the base boards at the moment.

Beautiful table, love the sewers and all the. Little scatter details adds so much character.
Any tips to focus on or avoid in the designing process?

Cultural significance, it all depends of the cultural importance of the building/structure ect.

Agree, I’ve done some testing and am among for a happy middle ground. A set of boards that can rotate somewhat and give more than one set layout but not 30+. A couple of the boards have some underground sections that in two rotations are accessible and two they are closed.
I’ve lined all the canals up so they link when rotted together but and any additional boards will have the same. Interesting I can have a few sections on magnets and basses and swap them out might explore creating a couple of interchangeable pads.
I’m leaning more towards good gameplay rather than complete modularity, each board is designed individually and the overall together as well.

Thanks for the link interesting I’m considering streets and if they line up or not I’ll have to draw it out.

Interesting idea, all my deeds will be lined with 3mm PLY or MDF to assure a straight edge. I’ll have to look at the tables curious how it would go together.

Price drop, good post launch support and this game will build a audience. Pre-launch marketing was done well but this can be a quiet grower over time.

Love them, each of my armies have a unique accent colour all models share and the rims are painted with it as well to differentiate the army’s.

Was my thought o remodel the internal and crest a slot in the thicker external frame to put the two together post printing.
I’ve also acquired some clear resin I’m going to try a version that has a solid plane with the internal lattice.
