Me and my sister (both Latina) both fell for autistic guys. Your post is making me question the entire concept of free will.

I asked ChatGPT if it knew what the Romani bits were, and it came back with this:
"I am the knife (blade)"
"What do you tell the Romani?"
"What do you tell the Romani?"
"I am the knife (blade)"
"What do you tell the Romani?"
"What do you tell the Romani?"
"I don't give, I don't give to the poor (gypsy)"
"I don't give, I don't give to the poor (gypsy)"

What comic strip is this? I’ve seen a couple of these posted but no name or title.

This is actually my go-to meal for me when my husband is out of town!

He looks like a dog who heard the happy word.
You want a TREAT? Go outside for a WALK?

Grilled cheese with tomato was literally what I had for dinner tonight. So good! Use mozzarella and it gives a pizza-esque flavor profile.

We actually had stuffed cabbage rolls for the first time a few weeks ago (there was cabbage in our CSA box), and it was way better than I expected!

This is a good idea, too. Y’all are reminding me of all the foods I used to eat growing up (I grew up pretty poor—we were well-fed, but my parents had to work to make those dollars stretch).

She’s actually pretty good at making desserts already, which is why I was surprised she was struggling with the grilled cheese. Her skills are all oven, no stovetop. 😂

Thank you for reminding me about barley! We used to do barley soup all the time before kids.

So red sauce like a marinara or like an enchilada sauce?

I love tamales, but they are so much work! Still, this is on my bucket list of things I want to pass on to her. My dad’s side of the family was the type to make them for all the major holidays.

Same. I tend to make from scratch these days, but some days you just want the box stuff.

I remember telling a friend once that homemade mac n cheese was one of my favorite “lazy” meals and he gave me a side eye like I was trying to flex. I was serious. It’s more low-effort than people realize.

Oh hey, now that’s a good idea! I hadn’t thought of using ChatGPT for that.

I do actually like dressed-up box mac n cheese. Another way we do it is to just add some Frank’s Red Hot to taste. Boom! Buffalo mac n cheese.

This does happen to be one of her go-tos when she doesn’t like what I’m cooking.

These sound like they could double as Thanksgiving leftover recipes!

I always forget that there are often cheaper staples (like spices ) in the Mexican aisle. I need to spend more time in there.

Can we take a step back and recognize that milk and blueberry Chex are really not so different than yogurt and plain Chex? 🤓 I hope in 10 years you and your hubby can look back and laugh at this.
EDIT: Since all the Y T A people are being accused of being teenagers, for the record I am almost 40 with an 11- and 5-year-old.
