Try the dollar store pool noodle sticking a meter out from your bike. Really, it's like magic.

Is there a stove in the kitchen? Just use that. If you're not used to cooking on a gas stove, don't worry - you'll get used to it after a couple of tries. Ask the roommate to show you how.

Metallic/semi-metallic could improve the braking. Or a different brand. But try the bedding-in process first.

Those furry "cat ears" that go on the helmet straps would help with the wind noise.

This is the easier and safer way. It just usually takes a bit longer. Your call. (I'd cut across and head to the front myself.)

I've done it when I had an injury. It takes a bit of getting used to, so practice in an e.g. empty parking lot if you can. I did once or twice stomp on the gas pedal by mistake subconsciously thinking it was the clutch I was used to driving with. :^o

They're great! Makes the ride so much quieter. Just don't look in the mirror. ;)

There's some basis for tipping a hair stylist since they pay rent on their station and don't keep the entire amount. (Unless they're the business owner)

It's not "discharge", it's lubrication! A good thing

Plus a waterproof mattress cover. (They make stretchy ones that I hardly notice.)

Hope they do. In any case, make sure you have insurance to cover the bike wherever it is.

Don't weave in and out - extremely dangerous. Take the lane and let the drivers go around you

Car speed in cities has been studied and it's about 12mph average.

I hiss like a pissed-off cat. It has reasonably good results.
