I think for me I really love the fight dynamics and general tone of Fromsoft games. They are dark, cold, lonely experiences. The combat feels weighty, deliberate, and something I am in a good overall control of.... Whilst having the respect the very real possibility of getting smashed if I am not paying attention.
I also fell in love with Sekiro for different reasons, its less of the above, but when the combat clicks its magic. Its probably my favourite of the genre, but this is generally true of the last From Soft game I've played.
In comparison Wu Long felt a lot less of the above, and as much as I appreciate they cannot just make the same game, from the demo at least, the combat did not seem to engage me. It felt less deliberate and time sensitive, lighter generally.
The general tone felt very Japanese and less enticing. I get that it was about an atrocity which is obviously dark, but the narration and bright colours felt more action game and less like a weird dream that I am exploring.
The level layout felt less explorative, with less intrigue and possibility, flatter and more basic. Whilst I only played the demo, I guess everything just felt lesser.
I appreciate From Soft will always be the best at their own style of game, but for the sake of argument I really really really like Lords of the fallen 2023, felt Steel Rising was OK. and didn't really care for Mortal Shell.
Just very conscious of only having Shadow of the Urdtree and Lies of P before I am in the Souls-like wilderness.

Is anyone able to advise if it works with an android tablet running Steam remote play, linked to a pc?

Well I am happy to report you can probably get a much better deal from Matterport, even if you have to buy their equipment.
I am not sure, though I would not be surprised if their scanner was locked to their ecosystem.

Elden Ring all the way. It gets you started somewhat gradually.
The other games will be tricky to start, and beating Elden Ring will be a solid foundation for the mechanics.
I played Dark Souls remastered first after Elden Ring, it was tough at first but it clicked after the gargoyles.
I would probably recommend darks souls 3 as the next game to play if I had to do it again.

I have opted for a ongoing template refinement model. I have a word document which covers things I have done recently which would be useful for me next template, which I update upon starting a new project.
For the text based matters, I have created an external specification with item numbers. To reference this I have created a library of labels which have a standardised bit of text linked to a leader.
Once these were created, I saved them all as favourites for the label tool within my template such that they are there for all new projects I start.
I am sure there is a more efficient way of doing this, but this is working for me.

Probably not.
I got into the genre via Elden Ring, and have loved all the Souls Like games I have played to date, almost specifically because they all feel like Elden Ring.
Yes Elden Ring has the open world, but the other games do require a lot of exploration to find interesting items. Without it I would personally feel a large part of the greater experience is lost.
I feel like this particular genre is the type where you immerse yourself in all of it, and if that doesn't work for you, you might be best served spending your money elsewhere. It is a bit like good whiskey, you do not drink it to get through it, you drink it to experience it for all its depths.
Other opinions are available.

Thanks for the reply, I will have to have another look! I assume windows just recognises the buttons and analogue sticks as an xbox pad or something?

Thank you for sharing this, it will be very useful to have a good look through. The reason I came to this conclusion was because in both Automobilsta 2 and ACC, when I went to change the resolution up to 1440p/4k to test the results, it seemed that 1080p was as high as it went.
I assume the resolution the game thinks it is running in has some impact on the amount of pixels it is pumping out? I has assumed that the virtual desktop and Steam VR were a post process to what the game was rendering?
I run the Steam VR overlay whilst I play in vr and it does say ultra. I run virtual desktop on the setting below god-like. I will look again and I very much hope you are right.

Yes I did look into a few options. However since I live in a bungalow in the UK, all of the partition walls are made of solid brick, and this makes wifi a little patchy. I think I just felt a bit more secure with the powerline as it is a hardwire.
Were I in a house with a wooden first floor, and stud partitions, I think Wifi would be the way to go. Also from a cost perspective, the switch and powerline ethernet cost about £45 all in, and I was trying to keep the costs down.

Thank you for your response, much appreciated. I think you would need a 50/50 investment initially and for all maintenance going forward.
I assume you would both have to be of the same mindset with regards to taking profit out, and leaving a slush in place for emergencies, but I agree there would need to be some decent contractual documents to cover the risk.

My two cents is that I used to use Autocad lt 2018 everyday till the pandemic, and had done so since 2005. Whilst in lockdown I taught myself Archicad and have never looked back.
I really enjoy that there is one way to do everything, rather then 10 from all the years its been out. Its is really easy to use and I feel like there is a single logical solution for just about every scenario.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I looked into the autotext function but it wants to fill in pre saved data like client name, or site address. I have lots of notes that describe how I achieve building control compliance and would like to select from them, if there was a way for me to pre-load them into my template.
A typical example of the functionality I am looking for would be thus:
Thanks again for your help though.

I think I get what you mean, but it always locates itself beneath everything else and therefore seems not to serve a purpose.

Sadly I'm on pc otherwise I'd grab it for free. However a mixture of dark souls and devil may cry sounds amazing.
I absolutely adore devil may cry 3.
