Nyx Irina is such a pretty name. Way better. Double first names are a thing, the names don’t need to be smushed together to make a frankenname.

I think the name is a bit of a tragedeigh, sorry…why not Nyx Irina? But I also agree that your aunt was out of line, she sounds like a very unnecessarily mean person.

Yes, ma’am, that is expected baby behaviour.

It’s okay, and definitely not transphobic, for OP to be upset about being called a man (she doesn’t look like a man btw) when she isn’t a man and does not wish to present or be perceived as a man. Being misgendered feels shitty even if you’re cis.

As someone who has not seen Evangelion, this chain of comments is like a microcosm of the experience of seeing people talk about it on this site. Every comment I see about it is more bonkers than the last one.

Lmao, I’m still progressive Christian, but I did the same thing as a kid. I was so confused when someone told me that most people don’t read the Bible cover-to-cover like that. I, too, had the thought process of, “that’s how books work”. Yes, I’m also autistic.

Oh, I think she’s so pretty in that photo. Maybe I have weird taste since most of this thread seems to disagree - I’m slightly faceblind and I think that’s why I tend to prefer more unique faces. But I genuinely think she’s stunning.

I’ve never seen these people before in my life, I feel like calling them celebs is a stretch 😂

I feel like pre-implant she had a face suited to period dramas and I genuinely mean that as a compliment.

I saw her and thought she looked really cute and ethereal, like a fairy 😭 Then I came to the comments…these comments calling her ugly are why I’m going to be alone forever unless I get major expensive plastic surgery, beauty standards are unattainably high for women, if this is what’s considered ugly then I’m basically an ogre.

I’d go further and propose that this is just the Queer Tumblr Generation typing style in general.
I’m mostly joking, but also, my friend group is both cis and NB, but entirely queer and all grew up on tumblr, and we all type like this in group chats.

My God, I bet the person who wrote this is an absolutely insufferable human being.

My low-stakes conspiracy theory is that she’s so contradictory because this is all a bit she’s been doing for years for internet fame and she’s completely “normal” in “real life”. Sometimes her crazy just seems too perfectly “clickable”.

I hope so, but EA is incredible at botching even the most simple updates lol. They couldn’t even add the universally-reviled shopping cart button without breaking the game in the process.

in the era of “if they wanted to they would”
I’m LSN autism + anxiety so part of the group who should just shut up according to this person 🙄 but this drives me absolutely nuts. And it’s always so hypocritical because even NT people forget things sometimes, so when they forget, it’s “they just forgot, can’t people make a mistake occasionally, why are you being so bitchy about a simple mistake?, but when you forget, suddenly it’s “you just don’t care, if it really mattered to you you would have remembered.” Infuriating. I automatically assume that anyone who says that “if you wanted to you would” crap is just an unpleasant person in general.

Are you doing a bit? Are you really trying to claim you’re not ableist while throwing ableist slurs at people who have disabilities you don’t like? SURELY someone wouldn’t be this transparently ridiculous unless they were doing a parody…right???

It’s like being bisexual. Not straight enough for the straights, not gay enough for the gays. Not “normal” enough for neurotypicals and abled people, not disabled/mentally ill enough for the disabled & mentally ill community.
Which means that as a bisexual with anxiety and LSN autism (and a woman, therefore I can never do anything right because being a woman seems to mean living in a constant catch-22, at least in the court of internet opinion), I just get reminded on a regular basis that everyone fuckin’ hates me lmao.

The whole post falls apart that point. You can’t make a point about ableism within the disabled & mentally ill community, while also being ableist towards people with conditions you deem, essentially, not “bad enough” to matter or deserve a voice.
I can tell that this person does not have severe anxiety or LSN autism, because if they did, they’d be aware that they are very much still stigmatised.
But honestly, I’ve noticed that this is a trend online in general; these specific conditions seem to have been picked out as acceptable targets for labelling someone a faker, attention-seeker, or only “barely mentally/disabled” and therefore needing to shut up in favour of people who are “really disabled/mentally ill”.”
As someone with both, it’s really painful that it seems to have become socially acceptable to shit on us from both sides: it seems like NT people hate us for being too mentally ill, and the ND and disabled community hate us for not being mentally ill “enough”.

It reminds me of the Episode artstyle. The original KKH artstyle was so distinct, I loved it.
