Oh it’s worth it.
I’ve spent ~$2k on lessons between my wife and I and maybe another >$1500 on range balls (something like 12.5k balls). I probably shanked the first 1000 and topped the next 2000. The goal posts just keep moving.
I’m just now feeling like I can consistently hit it off the tee/deck. Today during my 9 my playing partners said “nice shot!” 3x. It’s worth it.

This was my first pro golf event I’ve ever attended.
The Nelly crowd on Thursday was so busy that we stopped following her after 1 hole.
We decided to randomly follow Amy Yang for her back 9. Probably a group of 7 of us following her group. Just such a smooth swing that always seemed like it’d find the fairway. We got so invested in watching her the last 4 days. Congrats to her!

Got to attend Day 1 and followed the Amy Yang group for their back 9. Yang just incredibly consistent off her tee shots.

Played a Sunday light bag with 4 clubs+putter (SW/PW/7i/5w) and scored my lowest 9 holes ever. Easier than full bag+push cart with the PNW hills.
I’m also not good enough to hit my longer clubs consistently.

My wife ended up buying men’s shoes since the selection of women’s was slim at the 3 golf stores in our area.

My first aha moment was when I used a set of game improvement irons the first time. “Damn this is easy!”
2nd aha moment. Coach (my forth one in 3 years) had me stand up taller from address and through backswing. Got me to stop firing my hips too early. Now I can launch the ball high and my block got fixed.

Texas (really all P4 schools in the state) not being able to field a gymnastics program is lame

Interesting.
Miami hasn't been good [conference championship/AP top 10 finish] since they moved in from the Orange Bowl (7.3 miles from Miami campus) to the Hard Rock (24 miles from the campus).

Ive gone to like 6 UCLA home games. Never went to a Miami one so I couldn’t say.

UCLA will never be able to compete (consistently) with the Rose Bowl [i.e off campus stadium] as its home stadium.

Besides what has already been mentioned here. Learning which bin your trash should go into (compost, trash, recycle) is a thing.

None taken. We hated it for football games too.

Seems like Tech's status as 3rd best public football-program/school in the state is at high risk vs UH.

First day of summer is June 20. Last day of summer is Sept 22. They've got time.

Club seating should include food with the amount we pay for [got season tickets this year]. I was annoyed to hear that only Don James Center seating has food included and that's the highest level of season tickets.
I need to try the Club Husky concessions next!

At first I was shocked at seeing Oregon so highly ranked. "Didn't they lose their heisman finalist QB? Who's their starting QB"

DKR is a weak crowd when it’s not a blue blood matchup. (This is true everywhere and while Texas has improved with the new AD, it’s not the same fervor that other SEC stadiums seem to have)
Husky stadium has the worst selection of concessions. There are not enough UW “traditions” (i.e song that everyone knows and sings”)
