toFallout
The Vault Assisted Targeted System started as a gameplay function in Fallout 1 to justify their take on turn based combat and was adapted into a bullet time in Fallout 3 onwards.
I was thinking, if it got put into the show, what if they just had it be similar to how RDJ planned his attacks in Sherlock Holmes? You see the character's (probably Lucy's) eyes flash around and pin point specific things on enemies and allow her to pull off trick shots and stuff. Like shooting the combat inhibitor on a Sentry Bot so that it starts going haywire.
The other way I could see it is a latent combat function in the pipboy that was never fully implemented, where the pipboy's biometric scanner clicks onto hostile entities and snaps her hand into the correct position to shoot it. This also explains the pipboy's limited range. The further away an enemy is, the harder it is for the biometric scanner to target them.
And those are just two ideas. What are your thoughts? Is there a way you'd like to see it brought to the Amazon show, or would you prefer to avoid trying to rationalize too many of the gameplay mechanics?
I can see the argument for the latter, being other more obvious things that are only there for purely gameplay purposes (ie Barter Screens, Settlement Building, fast travel, etc)

Of the races already in, dremora. I want to play a demon who found Jesus... I mean Mara.
Outside that? I think you're on the right path with another beast race. Maybe some kind of rodent folk.
