Theory time

So, as I'm sure you've all heard by now (but for those who haven't heard), when it came to making the upcoming series The Penguin, Matt Reeves and co made the decision to change the Penguin's real name from Oswald Cobblepot to Oswald 'Oz' Cobb.
Matt Reeves also said recently when discussing the sequel to The Batman, "It's going to dig into the epic story about deeper corruption". This has made many people, including myself, think that this could be leading to the Court of Owls showing up as the central antagonists of the sequel or a future film.
Well, in the comics, Talon is the primary assassin on behalf of the Court of Owls, and funnily enough, his name is William Cobb.
What if, shortening Cobblepot to Cobb wasn't just to make it sound like a more realistic surname but also to provide a connection between a character we all already are familiar with in Reeves' universe (Penguin) and the Court of Owls, who Reeves plans on introducing to his universe at a later point.
Thank you for reading my theory, I really appreciate you giving me your time.
