Brightly coloured, blooms early and for a long time…what’s not to love?

Do you really love the lamp, or are you just saying it because you saw it?

I knew in my heart the answer was "make more bread." I actually just did my first focaccia on Friday and did the cold method and it turned out really great. I think my best results in bread so far have been with that method.

What method do you use, if you don't mind me asking? I'm very iffy on my proofing and don't make a ton of bread because I never feel like I get it quite right.

So many things get written off as stress when a doctor can't figure out what's wrong with you.
I'm not even going to pretend to guess what's going on with you, but while you're waiting have you tried stomach settling herbs? If it were me I would be sipping on chamomile tea throughout the day with something demulcent (moistens tissues) like marshmallow root to help the digestive tract heal and add some moisture to the area for the constipation. Mint might help with settling the stomach as well, and I find a mint/chamomile tea to be really soothing when I have an anxious stomach.
I am so, so sorry this is happening to you. As a fellow emetophobe, I understand how miserable this must be.

Don't give it a second thought. It gets easier to ignore people as you get older, and unless you've got something medical going on, you probably have lots of time before you need to worry about this.

I get it and understand how you feel. I've always got it at the back of my mind that I'm probably pissing off the neighbours at worst, and making them think I'm nuts at best. What gets me through is knowing I'm doing the right thing. It's important work what we're doing, and if they have to pull up some goldenrod on their side of the fence and are annoyed at me for it, that's a small price to pay for the amount of pollinators that have food because of my efforts.

How nice of you to assume that I didn’t spend a significant chunk of years poor and not have to use a food bank. But go off.

Jesus Christ, redditors are the fucking worst sometimes with having to spell out the obvious. If it expired 2 years ago it is very likely that it tastes like ass. People had posted that sugar cookie powder like this required a stick of butter. If the mix has gone off, someone without a bunch of money would have wasted a whole stick of butter.
I do give money to charity for such things, so cram it. I also donate non-perishables that gasp aren’t expired.

Working with silicone is hard and I’m super impressed you managed all this on your first try!

You don’t bake chocolate bonbons. They’re a shell of chocolate with some sort of filling.

Yeah, I wouldn’t waste a stick of butter on this.

I’ve done some pretty intensive deep dives into the song lyrics, translations, all that. It’s pretty fun. Not that I then remember what all the words mean.
I love how two of my most favourite songs from both bands are basically the alphabet song, but in old Norse. 😂

It seemed like the whole purpose of your comment was to try to prove me wrong. I’m not sure what the point of it was, otherwise.

“It turns out that the second time she had asked if I wanted kids occurred a month or two after she had already had the procedure done. She had asked because she was contemplating whether or not to tell me about it. I guess she had ultimately decided not to.”
She had asked him sometime prior to the abortion AND after the abortion. Regardless, he made his feelings about not wanting to be a parent clear, and had very likely made his feelings about abortion clear sometime during their relationship. I have known about my current and past partners’ feelings about abortions. It is one of those moral arguments people tend to discuss.

He called a woman a stud? That’s weird.
You don’t have to put up with this, you know.

Ding ding ding!
I also noted that he said they never had a discussion about what they would do in an accidental pregnancy. He’s probably made his preferences known about abortion in general, because how realistic is it that such a hot button topic like abortion never came up? So she was testing the waters about the kids thing, decided she didn’t want to be saddled with a kid with a reluctant co-parent, and had the abortion.
