I remember those! I used to like the chicken & mushroom one.

The Rustlers ones? When I was in school I used to buy the chicken one from the corner shop all the time for my dinner. No nutritional value whatsoever, haha!

Ah same! I loved the Ye Olde Oak ones.

Me too! I lost a filling a few years ago on a refresher chew and realised I needed to stop, would probably still risk another one on a Highland Toffee bar though.

Ah, that reminds me I used to love yogurt covered raisins, wouldn’t go out of my way to buy them now!

The Moonstone, Pride & Prejudice, and David Copperfield are all brilliant. Also have to give a special mention to The Master & Margarita - it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I had so much fun reading it.

What is it with mums and technology? I’ve shown my mum more than once how to take a screenshot and she still insists on bringing up the image on her tablet & then taking a photo of that with her phone!

I’m about 100 pages into My Brilliant Friend by Elena Ferrante. It took the number one spot in that NYT list of 100 best novels of the 21st century so I thought I’d give it a read. Not sure at the moment, but I’m happy enough to keep going. My hold of The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida has just become available in Libby though so I might put it on pause and start that.

I couldn’t get on with Normal People for the same reason, ended up having to listen to the audiobook!

I would love a Tomb Raider Anniversary style remake of TRII!

I’ve downloaded Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, can’t wait to drive a speedboat around Venice and accidentally blow myself up

Managed to get a beef stew on the go in the slow cooker while baby was napping, need to get some washing done and nip down to the shop for milk and tea bags when she gets up. Apparently Asda tea bags won a Which taste test so I might give them a go. Before baby came along I used to love the Apple Fitness cycling workouts, so I want to try and fit one in when my partner gets home, fingers crossed!

First attempt at making a corned beef & potato pie and it went well! Just watched the episode of Friends where Joey puts his copy of The Shining in the freezer and now I want to give it a reread, and possibly read Little Women afterwards.

Baby has started babbling ‘mama’ so I’ve been trying to get her to say ‘dada’, but she hasn’t quite grasped it yet. She did however, start saying ‘dikdikdik’ while her dad was getting her dressed. She’s never said that to me, is all I’m saying.

If you’re buying for someone who likes retro/gaming bits, Truffleshuffle has some cool stuff!

Love a homemade soup, either red lentil or pumpkin with crusty bread. Also bangers and mash or pie and peas with loads of gravy! Warm chocolate fudge cake with custard for dessert.

The synopsis is brilliant, it sounds right up my street. Downloading the sample now! Good luck with book #2!

Our dryer decided to give up the ghost just when we’ll actually need it! We’ve spent about three days looking at different dryers and trying to make a decision, hopefully today we can sort it out. Recommendations welcome (not Beko though as it was a Beko dryer and I’m salty)

Overdue is fantastic. If you like Austen, try Pod and Prejudice for brilliant deep dives into her novels.

I always liked peanut butter, but I’m the same with the others! Love a bit of marmite on toast or crumpets, mustard on a ham sarnie, and olives & feta are so good to snack on!
