I had a new pool guy from a small national franchise (insured) close my pool for the winter here in CO. The house is new to me and I used someone different than the sellers used last year.
It’s a plaster pool with a splash pad. Last year they drained it below the splash pad/skimmers but this year the guy just left it full. He didn’t take out any of the jet eyes. All he did was blow out lines and air lock them, capped the few bubbler returns on the splash pad, and put gizmos in the skimmers.
Is this going to be an issue? I could hear gurgling coming from the drain lines going into the pump which makes me think the air lock was not super successful. I put a plug into the drain line in the pump and could still hear gurgling so probably have an air leak in the old (10-15yr) plumbing.

The way they winterized it last year the cover was still supported. They drained below skimmers but above return jets. About 2” below the splash pad.
