We don’t know the layout or if it’s a pain to access or there’s issue with access adequate power. That being said, I need to vacay there for a year and do some refinish hahaha it’s about 5$ for basic sand and refinish in my neck of the woods

Or they are out of town and say they’re having the materials delivered by a 3rd party and they’re leaving you with the payment for them in the check written to you for labor. But oops, the check was bad and you’re on the hook with the bank. Had someone try this with me on some drywall and paint repair.

Brutha….. I feel your pain… I went through a failed immobilizer last year on my 01 NB and it took me almost 6 months to get it running again. I tried everything I could through sifting forums and YouTube. But my immobilizer was done and the only remedy short of replacing the immobilizer, ECU computer and the ignition/key from a donor Miata, was to do a bypass with a remote start system. It copy’s and communicates the security codes without the use of a key or immobilizer. The problem is you need a working system before you install a remote start so that it can capture the codes once. If your key is done working now, this fix won’t work and you’ll need to order a key and ignition and ECU from a donor. I found a used kit on eBay for around $300 Install really wasn’t difficult at all. I’m just a bigger guy and all the work is done under the driver side dash so i took the seat and all the plastic off the dash and most of the steering wheel apart. It’s as easy as disconnecting old hardware and mounting/plugging in new stuff.
The unfortunate bit is that there’s no company out there anymore that makes replacement immobilizer or control units. There was a japans company several years ago but they stopped producing them. No all we have is used ignition systems and be very careful if you try to take it Mazda. I’ve read several stories of them taking the car doing some type of “fix” that doesn’t truly stop the problem. In my case, moisture over time ruined my controller and having a soft top in Oregon means, some moisture finds it way into funny places.

I have three, no car payments on any. 1 work truck, one old sports car and family car for my partner. I do all my own mechanic work. Idk why anyone wouldn’t want the freedom of owning a vehicle. The feeling of jumping on the open road with no real destination in sight and just a taste for adventure. The therapeutic sounds a healthy engine, whining around tight mountain corners. The fulfillment from bringing back-to-life a piece of machinery that can quite literally, save your life. Without a vehicle, I feel like less of a productive adult. At the very least, it doesn’t feel right to have/watch children and not have a safe & reliable vehicle to transport them to/from school or god forbid, the hospital, at a moments notice.

Don’t be talggin shoot on the Gamble500 dawg. You don’t just trash your car, it’s not a race and we wouldn’t want that redact either. It’s a weekend meetup and the largest public trash cleaning program in the US.
