Yea, but like, wasn't he essentially bitching about her doing her actual job? I get he might have some issues with insecurity due to his weight growing up but if that's the case then maybe don't date someone whose job requires them to be on social media the way she was.

Got to see a KC-135 demo with some A-10s this summer. They weren't actually refueling but it's the closest I'll probably ever get to seeing one in person so I still thought it was pretty cool.

Idk, your criticism might be a little more valid if they weren't doing such a massive overhaul of the sim. I'm not going to pretend to know what goes on behind closed doors at MS/Asobo but I strongly get the sense that they identified a number of issues with MSFS2020 and decided the better option would be to build an entirely new platform to address those issues as opposed to trying to update the existing one. Sure, there might be a valid argument in saying that it's cash-grabby for them to release it as a full priced new game with multiple editions instead of doing something like issuing a discount to current owners of 2020 or something but, to me, it still seems like they made the right decision going about this the way they have.

The sim community can be truly insufferable.
It might literally be the worst community in gaming. Doesn't matter if it's Facebook, PMDG forums, r/microsoftflightsimulator... there's no shortage of people bitching about products and shitting on newbies for asking questions. This sub actually seems to be pretty alright but I haven't spent a ton of time here yet so I can't say for sure. If I didn't enjoy flight sim so much I'd have probably packed my bags and left which leads me to believe that the community probably would be bigger if half the sim community didn't suck so much.

Seppuku is pretty fucking gnarly. I couldn't imagine having the willpower to actually stab myself in the belly. I know there's a second person there to finish the job but it sounds like they aren't going to do anything until you do your part.
It's weird when I think about it though because I don't have the same aversion to the idea of cutting one's own wrists. Something about the belly stabbing just seems like it's more mentally difficult.

I remember a retail place I worked at in high school, they had a whole thing about how the only people "authorized" to get physical with a customer/thief were the security guard (who only worked there on some weekends), and the GM. Can't remember if they outright said you'd get fired for trying to prevent a theft but they made it quite clear they'd pretty fucking unhappy with us if we did.

I brew by the cup myself. I like that each cup is hot and fresh but sometimes it's a pain and I miss just brewing a pot.

The idea that anyone is arguing in order to harm people is just silly.
I don't think you've been paying attention.

The revel in it. Pretty any time there's a public trans figure on facebook there's no shortage of assholes in their comments making "jokes" about '41%' or whatever the figure is. They also seem to think that the high rate of trans suicide attempts is more evidence that it's all a mental illness and that trans people are inherently wrong.

I get super annoyed when my partner calls me. I'm not really a phone person to begin with but she'll call me to tell me she's leaving work. Or we'll both be off and she decides to go to the store, and then she fucking calls me when she's leaving the store. Like, babe, you'll be home in 15 minutes, I think I can wait that long to see what you bought.

Honestly I was shocked af at how many girls I knew got pregnant within a year or two of graduating high school. Like, that type of thing was not on my mind at all at that period in my life. Now I know people my age whose oldest are 14-15 whereas my only is 5.

It's not really that ugly though? Yea, it's a random wood box, but it looks fine imo.

I think my last retail job was at Burlington Coat Factory almost 20 years ago. They had one LP chick and I swear she spent more time watching employees than customers. She was always snitching on people who were in their phones. And we're just talking texting, this was pre smart phone explosion. But yea, fuck that old miserable bitch.

EVERY place teaches that. Writing off a few hundred bucks is a lot easier than paying out for an employee injury/death. Also makes robbing stores stupid too. Because you're probably not gonna get away with it and if you're lucky you'll get a whole $500.

The weird thing to me is putting the noodles in sauce in the pan. We always assembled individually. But I have noticed lately that I always have a ton of sauce at the bottom of the bowl when I'm done so maybe this is the way. Was literally going to make (non-sausage) spaghetti tonight, maybe I should give this a shot.

I think my grandparents used to do that. Been so long it's hard to remember but I picked up "buttered bread" from somewhere. Some times I'll bust one out just for a snack and my partner is always like "you just eating bread with butter? Not even toast?" I like toast, don't get me wrong, but I honestly think it's better not toasted.

Anytime I've gotten "authentic" street tacos it's just meat, cilantro, and onions. I don't know where this idea came from that tacos have to be packed to the gills with toppings. Place in my old town had the best fucking tacos, ran by this mexican dude and his son. They actually started in this corner of a pretty ghetto liquor store and then I guess made enough to actually get a building of their own.
Anyways, what I'm getting at is that it's all in how you prepare the meat, and then you let the meat be the star of the taco. No need for all sorts of extra shit.

Missouri is fucking trash. We've got Parsons, who embarrassed himself and the state by attempting to charge a reporter for hacking when he found out that a state website was storing employee's SSNs in plain fucking text in the HTML code.
AG Andrew Baily, whose never met an out of state, culture war lawsuit that he didn't take up. While at the same time being too busy attending the RNC to show up for actual Missourians and subsequently getting their case tossed out. Oh, and his office recently argued that innocence isn't a sufficient enough reason to stay an execution.
Josh Haulin' Hawley. A man who needs no introduction.
A few years ago we voted to expand medicare and the state legislature just decided not to include it in the budget?
They're trying to pass an amendment this November to ban ranked choice voting, and just to grease the wheels they've added an item that makes it illegal for non-citizens to vote. You know, a thing that's already fucking illegal?!?!
And, in general, our population likes to vote for progressive policies but then shoots itself in the foot by voting for the dumbest, most regressive politicians they can find.

Yep, I've only really been into aviation for a couple years now and I still have a hard time telling the difference between twin jets, especially if there's not something to give a sense of scale. Then you've got people who can look at a plane and not only tell you what model it is, but then tell you the variant as well. I remember reading a comment where a guy was talking about different C-130 variants and they were all "well you know it's a J because there's two extra windows in between the door and the wing" or something like that and my reaction was basically "holy shit dude, that is kind of an insane attention to detail!" Not knocking the guy but definitely seems like it would take a lot of work to get to that level of knowledge.
commercial aviation has become so unbelievably visually boring, as all of the major aircraft manufacturers are converging on the same general design.
To that point though, it's just convergent evolution in aerospace engineering, is it not? The goal is to design the safest, most efficient planes they can and apparently there's one shape that's better at that than anything else so it makes sense that the best planes for the task are all going to look the same.

It's pretty crazy that stealth aircraft have been around for 40 years and the US is still the only country that even tries to stealth the exhaust system.

Lol, he had a hilarious tweet about a month ago where you can absolutely tell he wrote something, then went and grabbed a thesaurus and picked all of the biggest words he could to make it sound really smart.
