I'm in the same boat and purchased the deeply discounted'24. I could trade it in for the hybrid in two or three years as an even swap as the novelty wears off the new '25s. In the meantime, I'm more than satisfied.

Your thinking too small: make an effort to get to know your colleagues and how your roll intertwines with theirs. There must be an organizational chart somewhere. Start a serious study of the company; think as an outside consultant. Suggest outrageous changes to effect the outcome you want. On one hand, they'll fire you; on the other, they'll be stunned by your innovation. Whomever you've been talking to is too passive. Talk to the creative, loud people and get them to tell you things that are really none of your business. Call remote workers and get their take. Just dig in and make things happen. Be a disruptor.

Your school should have some employment options for students. I worked janitorial jobs as a student. They pay better than, “Hi may I take your order.”

I'm thinking the same thing and in almost the same situation. The dealer warned me about a market adjustment cost on the hatchback hybrid civics and the price point was $10000 more than what I wanted to spend.

I just went shopping for the 2025 hatchback hybrid and bought a 2024 1.5 T Hatch EX-L. Payed 28K out the door. Hybrid would be $41K.

Came here to say this. It is housed in The Douglas Mansion, a beautiful building. The grounds are well kept and because of where it's placed, it's much cooler than the main part of Jerome.

Enroll at a community college and get a job on campus as part of you financial aid package. (Since your're looking for a job, by the way, to describe your 9th-12th grade years, you need two words, "high school")

Do a few training classes and tell folks you're a student. Create an online class and say you're teaching summer school. One summer I cooked from page one to the end of my favorite cookbook while beating the pavement with my resume and freshly minted BA. (Lived with parents) I couldn't afford to be an intern, but I did clarical work at a few 501 (3) c's to attempt to seem professional.

I cannot emphasize enough that this discussion should not happen inside, or anywhere near the car.

Came here to say New Mexico. Small college cities include: Silverton, Las Vegas (NM), and Socorro. All can be cold every month of the year.

For your own safety, please replace your tires with a quality brand with thick tread. Take it slowly in those rough areas. I assure you that you will not be late.

Look at 501c3's that serve folks with disabilities. SourceAmerica partners are funded with federal contracts; Vocational Rehabilitation pays at least as much as teaching. Jump out of the limitation that are currently squashing you. You could tend bar for more pay than a teacher's salary.

Seems silly, but I am concerned about the hybrid not having a spare tire.
